Sam: i think people are getting the loan idea from the way you phrased it in your earlier post. Borrowing directly for AIM investing is crazy. if you're using savings to "invest" in AIM and the plan is to use profits to repay the car loan then that's very different...yes, you could use your money to repay the car loan but that's a choice. what it sounds like you're doing is just choosing to invest in AIM. So that sounds fine...but you still have £35k exposed to a single, highly volatile AIM share which is a pretty large risk..but each to their own.

nothing speaks to the excitement of a BB more than the majority of day's posts being about other, totally unconnected AIM shares.

to keep that going: good to see SXX have a plan, could well work....as long as the High Yield market stays open and can when they come back for funding....we are very late cycle.

I was all ready to sell all my WSG shares this morning and pile into EUA after a new poster popped up and told us it was totally undervalued.....when i went back to check the details of my impending fortune the post had been deleted.....so sadly i'm stuck here for a little longer.

He got lucky on a couple of RNS guesses back in June/July and since then has thrown out predictions every now and then in hope of a repeat performance.....interspersed with occasional days of panic that everything is going wrong. It’s an emotional ride!

it certainly looks to all the world (i.e. anyone who's not invested in WSG) that the contract is signed, sealed and delivered and work being carried out.....you'd have thought that it really would have to be an almighty c0ckup for this to fall through, no???

Have you been hacked DHC? that's a bit measured for you, no?

H&N: we don't know that we're getting paid for all the work. we know that we're getting paid on account....so that could well be less than the full amount that we've earned....i.e. we could be building up an accrual as well as receiving some cash....i suspect we'll never know what the terms were....we'll all be too happy with the contract signing to care about this purgatory period (or the company will have gone under ;-))

I agree that a 35 year contract costs MPS nothing (vs a 10 year) but it also ties them in to a supplier (us) and a cost (they can't negotiate it down). All that said, hopefully in 10 years WSG would be a much stronger company and could drive a harder bargain for a renewal of the contract....so it would seem sensible to offer the longer contract now. Especially given that they've seen the work we can provide so have had the advantage of a longer "trial period" so the risk of them signing up a rubbish company for a long time has been diminished. 35 years (which is still not my base case) would really help the share price

they're a profit maximising company...they want top notch security at the best price they can achieve

i assume it was 60 because that's how many were at the Maritime Law Seminar that preceded the visit.

to me there was nothing to read between the lines, but let's hope i'm wrong.

I honestly don't think that WSG has the power to dictate terms to MPS over contract length, or anything material for that matter......again, i'd love to be proved wrong.

i'd love to know what we're getting paid, but i'm pretty sure we won't find that out...i'd be surprised if it was as low as cost...certainly given the fact that the old tariffs seems to be a floor, so i'd expect them to calculate any payments to WSG abased on those tariffs since that's the minimum they'd be receiving going forward.

Phil: i think a christmas boost is quite likely...sadly it's 50 days until christmas, so not exactly a guarantee of imminence .

Can we have a collective pact that someone asks PF at the next AGM when we received the money, Q3 or Q4...that way we can have an end to this.

in the mean time i resort to my usual argument which is that PF isn't telling us anything because he doesn't benefit from telling us anything....which to me tells me he's not looking to raise...so i'm happy.

we all know that he prioritises the employees over the owners of the company....Corbyn would be pleased.....(well, that is until this get's taken out at £5 a share and PF jogs off to Monaco to avoid tax) - so he's not going to share unless he has to

could well be true Bigears.......but that's why it could be so "transformational" for WSG.....the small fish have to take a risk if they want to get into the big leagues (metaphors are always better when confusingly mixed)

yamsel: my take is that we're being held up by the dispute over T2 and T3. MPS can't be sure what price they'll be getting and therefore want to wait to sort the finer details out in WSG's contract.....that said, i would have thought they could sign the contract and then put clauses in to reflect any future changes in fees subject to the ongoing dispute.....i'm choosing to look for the positives.

yrabs: it is a shame, but equally if it did reflect would you sell? surely you'd be holding out for the actual signed contract as that would have to prop up the share price even more. we'd be saying "why are people selling now? we're getting paid and the contract is about to signed so this thing has to rise....free money etc"

i doubt it.....that's form back in April, since then MPS and WSG have start to scan at the port and are carrying out the work needed on a day to day basis......this is very much out of date i assume. but you probably already knew all that.

I get the frustration H&N, but nothing has changed since our last RNS....the one where they told us that we are getting paid. The fact that they put that out made it clear that it was unlikely to be signed within a week or 2 as they'd have just waited. As is, i'm happy....frustrated that it's taking time, but happy that we're getting paid and the world is still turning for WSG.

A lot of people on here should be thanking SVS...the share price fall given them an opportunity to add at very low prices.....and a lot of us on here have claimed to be adding.

i've been here since 2012 and whilst I'd have loved one of the never nevers to come true, they didn't, i'm sitting on a paper loss and am overly exposed here for my portfolio. all that said, if one of numerous MOUs back in 2015/16 had come off, or the ferry, or even Iran then i'd have had a few hundred thousand shares work maybe 60p and sold many of them.....because i've stubbornly kept adding i now have over 800,000 and so when/if it really takes off i'll make way more money.....glass half full i guess (even if currently there is only a dribble in the bottom!)

i bet if you go on their BB today it will look very similar to this one over the past months. some people talking up the "great buying opportunity", some "i told you so"s and a bunch of despondent investors "stuck" as they are unwilling to cut losses.

and Dodger.....the only thing that accumulates here is the share count!

Jim: this share does have something of a floor - it's rare for it to spend much time below 9p - the exception being from Mid March this year through to the AGM.

there is a reasonable underlying business (ignoring Tema, Iran, Africa and any of Foxy's other cusps) so this always feels great value when sub nominal (helped by PF's ability to pump it up pre-fundings - but I, like you, think that we are in a strong cash position now)

i really don't see why you'd sell now if you haven't in last couple of months. the same can be said for buying....i think beds are generally made (aside from a few silly top ups here and there and the odd person getting jittery and looking jealously at VAST, PREM and EUA

So on the 18th of June we were told that the deal should be singed within 30 days.....36 days later we got a new PM. 141 days later we're having another election.....who'd have thought that there was a real possibility on AGM day that we'd get a new PM and potentially a second before the contract got signed!?!?

if you're not bullish on the share you shouldn't be invested......a bull is very different to a ramper. you can have and express negative views and be a bull. anyone bearish on this share should simply not own it. you, my friend, are bullish on this share....you just like to moan about it (and i like to read it!)
