I think the ico referenced in articles might b for arqit. Not sure it's 100% clear what the connections are between chorum, arqit, and cordite yet. And obviously neo are involved too...and R3. It seems quite complex but im comforted by the pedigree of ppl involved. Not sure how long this part of process usyally takes?

Have screwed the entire protocol they created and their fellow authority node operators by trademarking Factom - without fair warning - and necessitating a total re-brand of the protocol. They are severely lacking in integrity it would seem.Obviously Inc is somewhat separate from the protocol but it still reflects badly on them the way they are messing with (sabotaging some might say) the very ecosystem they created - which is meant to be decentralised btw but Inc are still treating it like they have a right to exercise total control.

The key here is that it isnt like the DERR deal, which was woefully bad. There was no SP appreciation. The opposite in fact.

So no good deal for pre-rto holders then? I hope that isnt the case otherwise what was point in holding? I dont want to wait years for new entity to do something. I want the instant shareholder value that was promised. They said they prefer taking company from 1 to 10m over taking one from 10 to 20m

Registered on companies house exactly one calendar month after stapleton made announcement of changing strategy towards blockchain. Coincidence or has this been under development for quite some time? Id seen that Hale and Sargent were following R3 Corda on Twitter. Seems like providence.

This is now a matter of 4 questions: 1) will it happen? 2) if it does, when? 3) what is the new entity worth? And 4) how many new shares will b created?

It looks like ArQit is an itegral part of the Chorum business set-up (https://www.arqit.io/). All of the Chorum team are involved in ArQit. The ArQit website quotes the following: “We have an amazing combination of quantum physics, blockchain, and business skills. The team at ArQit were early pioneering members of the community that built Corda. We have a combined 25 years of experience with distributed applications and over 100 years’ experience in space science”. They are talking about quantum computer level security for future ‘blockchain as a service’ (‘BaaS’) products. In one of the articles someone posted earlier is says that “…that Chorum's flagship protocol is a blockchain and ecosystem for enterprises called ArQit. He [David Williams] claimed Arqit is quantum-resistant, meaning it would be secure from attack even from a powerful future quantum computer (a long-term existential worry in the blockchain world). ArQit has apparently just received a "significant investment" in a token pre-sale from Singapore-based crypto fund Neo Global Capital (NGC), which is part of Chinese blockchain giant Neo, Williams said. ArQit is comprised of the ex-RBS blockchain team at its core but also has people from the space industry involved too as this so-called ‘quantum security’ involves sending encrypted info via laser beams from satellites. Nice find! I take it back. Looks like my original guess months ago about R3 Corda was not far off. If it's a direct offshoot of that it looks decent.

A small private company with no real market penetration. Doesn't look like something that will create any fast value for us. Looks disappointing.
