Thanks AKW.........this is what we want.......news that actually tells people what this company actually does to earn it's money. And news of some major customer wins that will significantly increase the companies profits. So far this company has been playing it's cards close to it chest. Maybe come March/ April it will begin to reveal major new trade that will make these shares soar! It would seem that Europe may be on the verge of a turnaround.......that can't be bad for HNT

You enquired if I had topped up AKW.......indeed I have! But sadly, my resources are much depreciated, so I have not been able to purchase as many shares as I would have liked. I am also nearing retirement...so it is all getting a bit scary! it seems to me that at present, I have more confidence in the company than the Chairman and the Chief Executive rolled into one! What is my confidence founded upon? Well, terrifyingly very little at present! Lets hope Paul Taaffe shows bold and dynamic leadership that will make the PR world sit up and take notice. I want to see major inroads into Asia, Australia and the USA. And revenue in Europe must be ruthlessly and aggressively pursued at all costs. "Sell' m cheap and stack'm high! I want to see a renaissance..... and a new broom sweeping clean, aiming high and revolutionising the PR WORLD!! Maybe someone ought to employ ME to promote the company!

Thank you for returning......it gets a bit lonely on this HNT discussion page sometimes. It is also rather alarming when share activity is extremely low and no one seems to be showing any interest in this share at all. Even the smallest scrap of positivity can go a long way. I am glad you think the dividend is safe. The company seems to be sailing a bit close to the wind, but maybe there could be a turn around this year and into 2016 I agree that Sally Withey needs to be thanked and congratulated for the sterling work she has done. I do worry however, that someone so young and brilliant should be leaving because of ill health. Obviously, sickness can happen to anyone at any time, but it seems to me that far too many people have left Huntsworth for sickness or other reasons in the past couple of years and it makes me wonder what the hidden problems are. Lord Chadlington seems to still be going strong at 73....and long may it continue. My hope is that very shortly, we will be hearing news from the new Chief Executive of strongly positive news for the future prospects of the company. I would also be encouraged if he made a major purchase of the company shares. Lord Myner's dived in straight away with a purchase of 200,000 shares at 65p....... surely the company cannot be so poorly regarded, as not to be worth a major purchase at 41p by the Chief Executive!

For a company that is a PR specialist, it is displaying, loud and clear, a conspicuous lack of PR and self promotion. What can the reason be? It is almost as if the company does not want to attract attention to its self. Does anybody know the origin of the saying "No news, is good news?"

They say that 'no news is good news' so as there have been absolutely no news at all for the last two months.....surely there must be some positive news just around the corner. The last report on the state of the company possibly deliberately played up how bad things were with new business in the latter half of 2014, so with luck, we will all be pleasantly surprised with results better than expected. I am particularly interested to hear of what new ideas the new Chief executive has in turning the company around and driving sales in China and Europe. Perhaps sales can break into the Australian market? Also if there have been any benefits from the upgrading of the digital systems since that has happened. I wonder where the most furtive areas of new growth lay in this company.

It all seems very suspiciously quiet at the moment. Why should this be? Is it in anticipations of more bad news? The pound has dropped against he dollar.......so that ought to help towards earnings from the USA. Has any progress been made in China?

Well at we have last the long awaited Director's buy! Obviously a bit of skilful PR handling.........the bad news of Sally Withey's departure coupled with the news of a new Chief Executive........announced on a very quiet day in the stock market. Maybe no one else has noticed.......or even cares! Well I hope those who rate the value of these shares show some attention. I cannot comment on the appointment of the new chief executive, as I know nothing about him........but I very much hope for two things going into 2015.......some positive PR concerning future profits and some dynamic leadership.....especially concerning developments in Asia. Oh and also on my wish list is that at least the dividend will be sustained in 2015 together with a more appropriate share value. Let us hope that the City and the brokers view this latest news favourably! A joyful Christmas and prosperous New Year to all my readers!

Aren;t these shares cheap enough? Maybe we will all find out at the next announcement of results.

It was a positive sign to see Abeforth adding 3 million HNT to their share portfolio. That obviously explains why there was a last minute buy of three million shares just before close and a price monitoring extension last Friday.

I am just curious as to why the new chairman is not showing confidence in the company and buying the shares. I hope he is not aware of further bad news.

I guess in an environment when all boats rise, this could help a PR firm..........but it would be nice to know specifically in what ways HNT might benefit.

This time last year Panmure Gordon predicted a value of 90p for this share! How could they have been so wrong? On what facts did they base that analysis? There must have been some substance to their opinion at that time. But the prediction was short lived.......and now it has been deleted from the records. The majority of brokers last year had 80p as a target. It makes me wonder if the brokers really know what they are talking about. Any views on this?

Mr Derek Mann has replaced Lord Myners as chairman of HNT. I don' know anything about him, but at least one hole in the bucket is filled! I wonder if he will be buying some shares to express his confidence in he company? I also wonder how much longer it will take to find a new Chief Executive......as this appointment will be crucial.

Thank you, your thoughts are very helpful. It is good to get some honest and realistic opinions from someone who knows the firm first hand. The dream scenario would be to have Europe pick up.....so with revenues from Europe, the Middle East, Far East and the USA increasing we might see some capital growth also. At one stage last year there was a broker forecast as high as 80p.....and I had high hopes that China was beginning to increase revenue....but the forecast seemed to disappear mysteriously from the records, before the great unexpected decline of 40%. We can only hope for better performance in the future, certainly investor confidence and my confidence will increase when we get news of who will be occupying the senior company positions. I am certain news cannot be much further away.

Thank you for your thoughts AKW200. The dividend is indisputably an advantage in favour of this share. But if the capital value of the share halves every five years, as it has done in the last, the large dividend does not seem quite so impressive. I agree with you that there could be potential growth in China, but I am unsure how that will happen. Is it hoped that the Chinese will use the services of HNT to promote business interest in the West and the USA? Is this something that Blue Focus themselves are unable to do? I guess as they own 20% of the company, it is in their own best interests to encourage sales in China so as to increase the company's profits and the capital value of the shares. Can you think of any other reasons why this share might be a good investment?

Dear AWK2000, thank you for your feedback. Debate on this share seems to have completely collapsed. As there is stillno news about Sally Whithey who should have returned to work this Autumn, I fear the worst. I am sorry if she does not return, as she obviously did a very good job. It seems to me that the news has been so bad this year, things can only get better, with the news of new appointments in the pipe line. Hopefully we will hear something just before Christmas to help generate a Father Christmas rally. And as you say, the dividends are still holding up......for now. I continue to remain of the opinion that the real value of this company as around 79p+

It is just a thought, but when a director resigns, does he still have an obligation to inform if he is still a holder of the company shares or has increased his holding? Any news on the Sally Whithey front? I don't think I have ever held shares in a company before that has no Finance director, no chairman and no Chief executive........who is running the company? Who is cracking the whip to promote the business? And who is managing cost control?
