Despite negative comments here, it must not be forgotten that Dignity is a major name in the funeral industry and will always be in business. I think that its a good bet to buy these shares at any price below £5. Should there be a takeover......we are looking at least for £6.75. A nice safe share to tuck away and wait for the jackpot!

I take it that as you are so pessimistic about the possibility of a takeover, you do not now own any shares! Im sticking in there!!

Its normal to have feelings of foreboding and failure during the takeover process. You are supposed to feel that way......it helps keep the price low......and keeps everyone guessing. For sure there are risks......and it is a gamble for both share holders and bidders. But I would be more confident than you seem to bee of a deal......80/20% in favour perhaps.

I wouldn't put too much faith in the Sunday Mail article. All these newspapers want to do is sell newspapers.....and people react more to scare stories. I am more of the view that suitors are not going to walk away from the opportunity to buy the company at this stage. Its all a game bluff and counter bluff.

This should give these shares an uplift....as I expect them to be most encouraging and an indication of this company,s potential value future prospects!

I think that it is much better to be conservative about one's expectations and set a minimum target......than to set the target too high and be disappointed. As you point out, there may be other considerations that will drive the price higher....and if that is the case we shall all be pleasantly surprised!

I have no doubt that the results will be strong.......adding to the desirability of this company!
If they do not snap up this well established brand name now in these depressed markets they will have to wait a long time for a another opportunity and pay much much more...... and they know it!!

My feeling is that this share will find a new floor at £4.00 when I hope to buy more.........then I will wait for £5.00

I bought 10,000 of these at £10.54 a few days ago.....he's hoping for a nice quick profit on my investment tomorrow!

I see this going to £1 at least before the end of this year!

It may be a complete shot in the dark of mine.......but several times over my 40 years of stock market investing, a share I held with solid prospects, that seemed to go no where....and actually went down in value for no obvious reason, suddenly received a takeover offer!!! This could be a prime time to sell this company. I'm not ramping, but it is just a thought.

Hi Dem, thank you for your very thoughtful and encouraging reply. I'm very glad I asked the question as your reply has restored my expectations. If only some of the other posters on here were so constructive . 20p will restore my losses.....30p will put me into respectable profit. Lets keep our fingers crossed that there is a favourable result come July.....without any further extensions!!

I guess the longer the lawyers drag out this case the more reward they will get and the less Rockhopper will receive!

How much longer do we have to wait?

I have been a long term share holder of RKH and have been sitting on losses for years. I do not live very far from Salisbury. When is the next shareholder meeting? Is it held in Salisbury? an anyone attend? I just want to see the people who run this company face to face!
