Agreed Wyndrum, exactly what I have been saying. The inaccurate Chinese tests must have fitted the narrative so I suspect that they gave a high proportion of false positive results that were then “authenticated” by PCR run at the ridiculously over sensitive setting of 40 CT.

The balancing act is now a tricky one for U.K. Gov. They need to continue to create sufficient fear/coercion to achieve maximum vaccination figures while disassociating large numbers of future deaths from Covid infection to prove that the vaxes worked.

Combination of more accurate LFTs and PCR wound down to 28 - or potentially no testing at all - as flagged in ‘operation ramp down’ at the weekend.

Plan is becoming clear: Get jabbed and you can have a free vaccine pass, courtesy of NHS and Gov. Alternatively, you can pay to obtain private lateral flow tests to try and convince the brainwashed that you are not a mortal danger to them!

Embarrassed myself at the local butcher’s this weekend. The most delicious bird I’ve ever eaten was a capon in Bologna. I looked it up and it turns out that a capon is a castrated rooster. I asked local butcher if this was allowed in the U.K. He said “No”, but could offer free-range roosters for Christmas. I asked “how much?” He said “14.99 per kilo” I asked “how big is the average bird?” He said “46 kilos”. After a quick bit of mental arithmetic, I told him I would need to think about it. Only when relaying the message to my partner did I realise that he had said “4 to 6 kilos”! He said “how did you think a 46 kilo bird would fit into your oven? I said I think I must be suffering from “guess the Eurasia sale price per share syndrome!”

Well if they can produce a tomato that actually tastes of anything, I’ll be impressed.

Bella, I very much agree with you regarding FTI Consulting. Their lack of proactivity in PR terms for the world’s best Covid test during a Covid pandemic has been staggering. As I have frequently said, it’s almost as though they have been doing everything possible to keep the Press away from the story.

Avacta animal health should be another rich seam of PR stories. Look them up on Twitter and you’ll find numerous tweets from grateful animal owners whose pets allergies have been discovered and treated, thanks to Avacta.

Next time we have the chance to put questions to AS in an investor meets company scenario, I hope that many will put the question about what exactly FTI are doing for their money.

Yes, the reason is that I am fascinated by this Pandemic as a historic event and what happens with Avacta is a bellwhether for trends.

That would be ‘the actions of a small Biotech’ that - according to people on here - ‘had Boris’s ear’ and were inevitably on their way to massive Gov contracts.
If they had Boris’s ear, they could have influenced him. If the Gov had wanted accurate LFTs, they would have given that contract and sorted out Porton Down much sooner.

Just wait and see, there will be no HUA announcement until every age group has been offered the vax. I’ll eat my tinfoil hat if there is.

The point is that it was the perfect time for AS a to point out that there WAS a an alternative to vaxxing everyone ie accurate lateral flow testing. Instead we see care workers sacked, NHS workers to follow a mad, stupid reliance on vaccine passports rather than negative antigen tests to prove that people are safe. Have you all seen the latest plan from Austria? Lock down the unvaxxed only. That’ll work out well, seeing that the vaxxed are still spreaders.

Since you ask Ripley, I have been negative for a good long time - mainly as a result of the political environment and poor decision making. When the Gov extended the contract with Innova despite the FDA recalling it, I was horrified. Since then, I have merely posted my observations regarding what I view as very sinister moves being made in concert by governments worldwide to coerce entire populations including children and pregnant women to participate in a terrible experiment with an ‘Emergency Use’ intervention. This is despite Covid being 99.7% survivable. It was when AS and FTI Consulting did nothing to speak out when these groups were targeted that I sold a large chunk of my holding.

Sir Patrick Vallance now claims that climate change is a bigger threat than Covid, so I say follow the money.

@NDN, I apologise for anything that I said in my salad days when I was green of judgment (and slightly besotted with Alastair Smith.) I was an unthinking Avacta groupie back in the day. These days I am much more realistic and, as I said previously, I have reorganised my portfolio accordingly. I still hold Avacta but sensible amounts these days. It’s true that I realised losses in doing so, but my losses were less than the paper ones would currently be if I had done nothing.
