As has been said many times, Avacta is far from being a one-trick pony. As recently as this week it has been touted by a leading expert in the sector as being the small cap life sciences company most likely to see continued profitability in the year ahead. The Covid testing is just one of their bowstrings.

BBBB, couldn’t you get your journalist buddy to do an investigation into the U.K. lateral flow test industry that Boris mentioned as our first line of defence against future pandemics? If I was a journalist, I would want to dig around and find out more. Unless, of course, it’s considered a matter of national security and subject to a gagging order from on high?

If you think about it, Boris was responding to a question about how we would ensure that we were better prepared for future viral pandemics. It is just so obvious that the first thing we will need is antigen lateral flow and real time, localised sewage testing.

Indeed, or they are taking liberties with the NDA.

The Daily Mail today reports on Regeneron currently being trialled by NHS as cure for Covid. From the sound of it, it neutralises the virus in the same way that affimers can.

“ The experimental drug is made up of two monoclonal antibodies and works by binding to a protein on the surface of the virus. This helps to block infections of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes Covid-19, from attaching to cells and allows the immune system to respond.”
