One Project over the line and this could be turned on it's head, SO amongst all the Kibo Projects we shouldn't imho underestimate the below facts...

We shouldn't underestimate the importance of the $455m Transmission Interconnector and Kibo's have been invited by Tanesco to develop their MCPP to engage in the African Power Pool ....
As a consequence of the advancing project I would expect (even more so now) that the respective governments will be under increasing pressure from The AFD, The World Bank and the European Union who are financing the Project. Never forgetting other opportunities/scenarios

"The French financial institution is also supporting the electricity interconnection between Tanzania and Zambia through a 100 million euro concessional loan. The French financial institution also supports the electricity interconnection between Tanzania and Zambia through a 100 million euro concessional loan. AFD thus joins the World Bank and the European Union which are financing this project. The project will enable the construction of a 400 kV transmission line and substations from Iringa to Sumbawanga via Mbeya and Tunduma and the Tunduma interconnection line in Tanzania’s Songwe region to the border with Zambia. The objective of this power interconnection project is to ensure security of electricity supply to the countries in the East African sub-region and the pooling of energy resources in the region.
