Probably because it's the most awkward possible way of doing things. I've just received an e.mail from World Pay saying I have to complete the transaction by 4.15pm - 2 and a half hours ago. It worked though, so I'll ignore any others I get.

Has anyone actually tried subscribing. Apparently new banking rules that have come in to stop fraudulent transactions are having an effect - for the first time ever, my bank is making me confirm the transaction via it's mobile app, but switching from PB's App to my banks means I lose the transaction on PB. So I have three Pending transactions, no payments made or pending, no confirmations, and no reply from PB. Typical farce, good job I'm not too bothered either way.

Oh listen to all the happy campers happy to keep paying lower and lower prices. Obviously they raise money, but at 102p when the price was 109p ? They are just giving the company away with no respect for "retail" investors. Every time there is a fund raise, the new shareholders take money out of the company with their dividends before the money is invested and actually earning the dividends. If you are happy with it, pile your money in guys, but don't have a go at me for making my comments known.
I sold half a few weeks ago when the plans were made known, and the rest at 105p when the announcement was finally made. Plenty of companies out there who do respect their small investors.

Hi saintly. The Covid dip a year ago was key to getting some great yields. Fortunately I had cash at the time and was out of a few companies, so getting in at the lows made 5% yields into 10% and above. I will keep most of these forever to lock in the yield. VSL is my top yielder, with Regional and AEW UK, RM Sec, and Chelverton not far behind. I took profits from Jarvis, BlackRock WM and BlackRock Energy this morning to give me a good start to the new year, and will gradually rebuild in those. Also sold out of Gore Street, and will give Primary Bid a try to buy Gore back at the lower price. NRR also looking good today. I've never sold any REI, just keep adding, although I've reached my limits now.

102p. What an absolute joke ! Raise cash to pay dividends. Only going one way.

To be honest, I supported Duke from the start, gradually investing up the maximum I usually allow myself. Then the crash happened and I carried on buying to get my average down to 36p. Earlier today I was congratulating myself on a job well done when it 40p. Now all the Primary Bid short term traders will be in and dragging the price down to 35p. I could buy some more of course, but PB can't transfer them into an ISA, and Duke is already my biggest holding. Should have sold some earlier since the next dividend isn't till June.

Halifax/I-web have informed me they are now accepting transfers from Primary Bid, and they warn against buying shares to sell immediately, but quote 3 days for the transfer.

in my experience, the latter part of Stalin_ESQ post only applies if you are using a bank as your stockbroker ie Lloyd, Halifax, I-web, Barclays, HSBC, where as a "proper" stockbroker will stop 15% withholding tax.
I am also told that the tax is taken (either 30 or 15 percent) by Computershare before the bank/stockbroker receives the dividend. DGOC told me to speak to Computershare to sort it out, but I was just ignored.
Basically I think they just do what they want because they know most investors aren't knowledgeable enough to argue their case.

Going forward, I repeat, going back to normality, this will produce a massive yield for those getting in at current prices.

I've learned in the past that companies like this take a long time to produce profits and pay dividends. Now I don't consider them for the first year as I only invest for dividends these days. As it happens, my broker won't even let me invest here, no idea why, they never give reasons. Sure it will come good eventually.

As a geriatric (as someone on the BP discussion called people who have had their first jab) who has been here since August 2017, I have been delighted with my investment in AEWU, and it's previously sister company AIRE. I've brought my average down from 103p to the current 81p, and received over £800 dividends so far.
AIRE has had a few problems, not getting enough cash in the IPO mainly and a bit of rebellion from major investors, but it's all taken account of in the price. Hoping to top up both companies in the new financial year.
