Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Sitting here, waiting patiently, full of confidence but remembering my early years investing in stocks and how easy it was to be swayed by posters with their own agenda. Over the years I've been burnt several times but it has turned out to be a true blessing in disguise. As a result these days I lurk on the boards and over time I gravitate towards the posters that can articulate their investment decisions with evidence or at the very least a compelling case. Luckily on this board we have plenty of well researched and committed members - I've enjoyed reading the comments and you continue to convince me that my original decision to invest a few months before suspension was the right thing to do. Btw I'm not averse to a negative post, but if you've not got a history of posting on this board or it seems like you don't understand the context of what could be about to happen then I simply smile and move on. A big thank you to all the posters who have made this board an insightful and fun place to frequent, all long term investors deserve a brilliant conclusion to this story. I await the conclusion with bated breath and can only hope we are weeks not months away from major news. AIMHO and GLA.
This sale is analogous to my experience of selling a house. I had lots of interest in a rising market, had a great offer which needed to be subject to due legal process, and in my case it didn't work out. I simply went back to market, the value of the house had gone up and I eventually sold for a better price. The only worry I have is that someone revolutionizes the car industry overnight by creating an engine powered of the BS coming from some of the posters on here.
as to what 'could' be happening - it's incredible really. I wonder if EUA are using the event as a subtle negotiating tactic with prospective buyers. They could in theory RNS JORC beforehand and speak to the numbers but without talking about asset sale? That would be a clear statement of intent that the £ needs to be right. Hopefully we have moved beyond that stage as in my mind the due diligence being completed would imply the sale price is agreed.
This does feel like a pivotal moment, I love it. Maybe we get an RNS tonight/Monday...maybe we don't. If we don't then we wait for a few more hours, days..maybe weeks...I can't really see it going longer than that. That's an opinion, not a fact, but it's based on the way updates have been issued and build up of anticipated news...none of which can be held back deliberately. Shortly, soon, incoming...hours, days or weeks..I don't really care but it is exciting.
Good to see the share price slowly moving back in the right direction. When it comes to the EUA deal I am prepared to expect the unexpected and not be blindsided by arbitrary timescales that others have suggested simply to suit our own investment agenda. Who knows for sure how this will unravel but clearly the resources are strategically important and there appears to be strong interest from big buyers who possibly are in competition with each other. The stage is set for a compelling finale to this saga, I've been here since late 2018 and so far the management board have been very impressive, as has the contributions from posters on this board! Things are getting exciting and I do suspect the share price will rise to a higher base before the big reveal, AIMHO.
Pretty relaxed here but only because there is a very high chance of a dividend or sale - one day I will wake up and I will see a healthy payout in my ISA trading account - and control will be taken out of the hands of the mms and IIs. The company will be sold/part sold and we will all get paid and hopefully not much can come in the way of that happening. Conversely we could be invested in a mining stock with huge potential but which is continually at the mercy of the markets ( a bit like we are now) but with no obvious point at which one could sell (seeing as the prices seem to drop on good news RNS's). The end game here, and its likely scale, is what makes it all worth while for me. Nearly there I hope. AIMHO.
No matter how good the case for investment at 26p, why would II's pay that if they are in a position to get them cheaper. The spoofing or layering tactics are there to serve someone else's agenda, not ours. That's the reality in my mind, let them have their fill then we move up.
For a while now I've intuitively felt that we will see a pivot that is engineered to transfer ownership of stock to strategic interests. Whilst i don't like to see my portfolio lose value I do honestly believe that something like today has to happen before the stock can rise to a better base price before the asset sale is announced....and for that reason I do feel like a positive, longer-term shift in momentum is probable and indeed likely in the coming sessions. Just my personal view. Good luck everyone!
...making money on the markets is hard work, especially if you're a private investor. By almost every objective measure we are onto a winner here yet the price still gets manipulated - that is why patience is just as important as research. Anyone complaining about the volatility hasn't understood what is going on here - PI's aren't supposed to make the money and the only way we can survive is to have a plan and stick to it and not be swayed by the false crashes or the monotony of being held in a trading range . I'm here until the end, I've mentally written off accessing the funds tied up here until after xmas - though I would be absolutely amazed if we are not sitting on hefty dividends by then. My personal view is that this is the best share I've ever held.
Very happy indeed. The board are true to their word and you cannot help but feel the RNSs are being rolled out according to a predefined road map. It all seems deliberate and you have to ask yourself why? Very exciting times.
Hopefully this is it, if you're in then you are in. If it all comes off today or Monday I'll be happy as I managed to accumulate my target holding over the last 12 months. Hopefully not too long now, but the ride so far has been a peach.
Sorry to say this but I've come to the conclusion that some people don't deserve to make money here. EUA is a complete gift, right time, right place, board and Pi's interests utterly and completely aligned, long line of positive RNS's all edging towards a positive conclusion. The risk vs reward is unparalleled on AIM as far as I can tell. Of course nothing is certain, but if you're here to make money and are complaining because of your lack of patience then you have the wrong mindset to make money on the markets.
I reckon you can divide the world of investors into two groups; those that have learned the hard way and those that have yet to learn. I consider myself in the first group; having been scared into selling on several shares only to see them rebound and do well. Once you've learned that lesson, you never forget it and I remain fully invested here. The manipulation of SP does feel like we are close to a conclusion. Just my view.
I'm not normally one to get involved with the trolls, but after reading the posts of the last few days you honestly have to hope some of these people will eventually have a crisis of conscience. Whether they're doing it for kicks or for financial gain, if you were to deliberately try and cheat people in this way out on the street you'd be labelled a fraudster and get banged up. Those that do go on to profit from cheating genuine PI's out of their investments by spreading misinformation, you've not made an honest living, there's no nobility in it. Eventually everyone reaches a point in their life where they have to take responsibility for their actions, and as far as I can see these trolls have no reason to hold their heads up high - they're being dishonest and are hellbent on profiting from that dishonesty. I wouldn't be able to sleep at night. And before people say what about the rampers, GO - AND -READ-THE-RNSs - there is more than enough reason to be optimistic.
Completely agree. What is more, whenever the day finally arrives and the deal is done, perhaps the best thing you can do is remember the level of manipulation that preceded the RNS - that is one of the most important observations and lessons you can learn as a PI. Feel very happy with my investment.
I'll stand by what I said last week. No way this was just going to rocket on good news...too many PI's stand to make money. Call me a cynic but I've seen it with some of my other investments. I have expected an orchestrated move against the share price for months and now it's happening. Not worried in the slightest, whilst nothing is ever 100% I really can't pick fault with the board, their own holdings in the company or their ability to negotiate without any leaks. What is happening with the SP is pure manipulation - no way I'm handing over my modest holding - it's taken me 18 months to build it up.
Didn't realise there were so many posters with experience of securing multi billion pound deals... and now they are saying this is a bad RNS. I'll take my chances with the EUA board, who themselves have more at stake then the rest of us. All looking very positive.
I've been around enough stocks over the years to recognise that no matter what the fundamentals, outlook or sentiment look like....if there is money to be made it is always at the expense of PI's. For that reason I have long held the view (probably since Christmas) that before there is any big reveal (Full sale/JV etc) there would be a protracted shaking out of PI's either by a couple of mege tree shakes or by what we are seeing now- a slow and steady depreciation of shareprice on low volume. Read the long line of positive RNS updates, realise the the board hold more shares than any of us and then make a call. I'm in until the end and have prepared myself mentally for some short term pain with the SP - recognising that making money is never simple and the big players always have odds stacked in their favour - I expect a bit of manipulation and have fingers crossed for a very big reward in coming weeks or months. Good luck to all holders.
Honest question - I'm interested to know the incentive behind mm's filling big orders. When I buy a few thousand shared HL charges me a tenner or whatever it is. But if a pension fund tries to buy 1,000,000 shares do they have direct market access themselves or do they use a third party mm. How lucrative is it for a mm to fill large orders? If anyone knows I'd be interested to hear.
