Bozi, if, as has been suggested, Newmont and BHP have no interest in going any further with this, and Jiangxi were the interested party, 51% could be achieved easily.
RE: A reminder to all shareholders: Very big news is coming16 Apr 2025 13:04
Pbow has had a very good chat with our chairman this morning. He's put a precis on Telegram and hopefully he'll do the same here, although he's travelling at the moment so it may be later.
RE: Northern Star to pay A$6B for De Grey (14moz) = 210p for Solgold16 Apr 2025 10:56
Eloro, I've always taken the view with investments that if I lose faith or optimism in a company, I take my losses, and I've rarely regretted doing so.

Eloro, and I was right about SC! Although not for the reasons I hoped for!
We won't own the asset. Caldwell, although being too old to last the course, at least had the cv to take the project some way through the development phase. He also committed to the company by living in Quito. There's not a chance of Vujcic doing that.
RE: Boom! Early production planned15 Apr 2025 17:54
SH, the importance of the election result has nothing to do with today's share price, nor tomorrow's. It's about continuity and a pro-mining government. I find it odd that you appear not to understand this.
RE: Boom! Early production planned15 Apr 2025 16:24
I believe it's totally misplaced to make the assumption that this announcement in some way rules out a sale. In fact it could be quite the opposite, in as much that it demonstrates the path to earlier revenue for a potential buyer.
I'm also pretty sure this isn't what Vujcic has been focusing his attention on.

Orthern, it isn't a question of wetting oneself over a 1p rise, it's the fact that Noboa's victory is of real significance to the company which hopefully provides the stability necessary for long term investment in the sector. Had he lost and regardless of the protestations that a Gonzales victory wouldn't affect us, we would be looking at a very different landscape today.
Tremendous news, even if it was rather surprising.
Let's hope Nobby now delivers on his promise to make the country a mining friendly jurisdiction and that he does something to speed up the tortuous process of developing their natural resources.
