We know that one of DV's stated aims was to attract more institutions onto the Register. A quick glance at Morning Star suggests that so far his efforts have not been rewarded, and I think there's a good reason for this.

He will have been flogging the story based upon the revised plan, which relies heavilly upon the viability of Tam. If I were an ii I'd wait for confirmation that it is before investing.

Separately, his upcoming presentations will inevitably focus on Tam, and I find it difficult to believe he'd get up on his hind legs and promote the project if he knew it wasn't a goer.

The other factor which persuades me is his relocation. Would he up sticks if things didn't look promising? Seems unlikely. With regard to his move, would he bother if, as one or two hyper- optimists suggest, a takeover is imminent? Again, it seems unlikely.

Let's hope we have a strong rns early this week.

The very worst RNS is the one issued at 'no-one's-looking-o'clock' after cob on a Friday. It's a cheap trick used by poor management teams and never works. We do not have a poor management team and I'm sure they'd never stoop that low...hopefully.

Has anyone noticed the amount of money BHP has been raising in the bond markets?

Today they raised a further $1.5bn ten and thirty year bonds at 5% and 5.75% respectively. This comes on top of a recent 1.$bn Euro medium term bond which is part of an overall 20bn Euro funding programme.

I guess most of this is for re-financing purposes as existing bonds reach maturity. Either way, it's big bucks.

On a separate matter, DGR's holding in Atlantic Lithium has been further diluted by a death spiral funding package announced today. If any proof were needed that we are DGR's only decent asset, this is it.

I think the Actus short was 18m shares. If we give them the benefit of the doubt and assume it was transacted at .07p, the cost was £1.26m. If they had to buy back the full 18m today it would cost them £2.9m and they will incur a £1.64m loss. Does that sound right?

Let's hope it's the start of them closing their position, which, given the illiquid nature of the share, is not going to be easy.

Anyway, I'm sure we're all devastated it's been such an unbridled disaster for them.
