mogg, it's a defensive move. He really doesn't want anyone else getting their hands on Cornerstone; particularly someone who may be considered as being a 'hostile' party.
Personally, I think he's wasting time, money and energy on this, especially as 60%of their shareholders have already said "no". Additionally, in my opinion, it's better for us ordinary shareholders to have a significant and unstable shareholder on the register.

dougal, they didn't "pull the plug". The agreement had a fixed time limit and it lapsed; although discussions remain ongoing.
As I said the other day, I'm convinced any financing deal will bear little relationship to what was envisaged last year and therefore, the proposed structure on offer from SGRF would not have been relevant. However, this is definitely not to say they will not be involved in some way or another.

We all love speculation, but I wonder if this really is an example of Occam's Razor? In other words, there is nothing else going on in the background and the explanation given last week is all there is to it.
