It seems to me as if anything remotely to do with renewables has been hammered recently. Sure, some valuations got way ahead of themselves, but it seems rather perverse that when virtually all global emphasis is on the sector and the media refers to it every day, that we should be seeing a sell-off.
Anyway, it will be short-lived, as we all know where the future lies.

How on earth you reach the conclusion that a phrase which is always used in a jocular manner, and has been for centuries, is somehow insulting, merely demonstrates your overwhelming dimness.

This Quady character consistently refers to people as 'armchair ceo's' and 'junior accountants' in a rude and derogatory manner whilst we are all supposed to bow to the wisdom and insight of a trainee actuary who eventually elevated himself to become a computer repair man. A man who, apart from fixing the video conferencing system, has never set foot inside a boardroom. And yet, on a daily basis he gives us his expert opinion on corporate finance, mining techniques, corporate strategy, global economics, Equadorian politics, psychology, mine financing and much else beside.

The reason I sold was Secker. I had grave doubts about his ability to deliver and was unimpressed by the Gangfen deal...I'd always hoped the company would be bought lock, stock. Having said that, I can certainly see the benefits over the long term and wish all shareholders well.
I'm heavily invested in SOLG and a similar situation pertains. A company with vast assets but a CEO who completely lost sight of how to create shareholder value. Anyway, he's been kicked into touch now and hopefully we'll see some action over the next 12 months.

The royalty question was always clouded in mystery and the company was never anything other than opaque. I had always thought the arrangement to be highly unusual and almost from Day 1 I could foresee problems. C O-E's premature death was almost certainly bound to lead to an escalation of the issue.
The company appeared to be totally convinced of the strength of its position, but I guess if that really was the case it would have been settled a long time ago. But one thing is for sure, I can recall nothing which was put in the public domain which in any way clarified the matter (I don't know if that's still the case as I haven't been following it that closely).
You are right about the percentage holding and a correction was eventually released.
When the announcement was made stating the company was going to pursue the matter, it divided opinion on here. Some felt it was a heartless pursuit a recently deceased man's family, particularly as he'd been instrumental in the original discovery; others thought the action was justified and that the truth should be revealed. Either way, Secker avoided providing any detail and never updated shareholders...despite being asked by many people, me included. I thought this to be unacceptable, but was entirely in keeping with the way Secker did things back then.
My thought was that it was an unacceptable arrangement for a public company and needed to be unwound, but it sounds as if it's still rumbling on, enriching lawyers in the process.

Bozi, that's why I referred to 'minor placings'. And, as you well know, the 100m is not the issue.
Anyway, putting that all to one side, we can all agree that we need some good news asap. The lack of drilling news is a complete mystery.
