The really exciting ones are the two 1 trades posted today. As we all know, this means we're guaranteed at least two announcements tomorrow!

Btw, I'm making an assumption about this being the cause of the delay based upon the fact it was a condition and, as yet, I've not seen anything from CGP saying it's been satisfied. Of course, there may be other reasons, but this one is explicable.

DM, the other day I referred to the condition which may be delaying matters in Canada - the one relating to minority interests which, as far as I can see, has not yet been satisfied. Although given that over 99% of their shareholders approved the deal, I can't see what the problem is. However, as it stands, the deal has not completed and we are in the hands of a third party - hence no prospectus.

JG, because they're in the middle of producing something of great significance and they're not ready to release details yet.

Monte, so, Caldwell has been in situ almost exactly three months and you're writing him off? This isn't the Premiere League.
For the first time in a long time, I find myself defending the board and would suggest everyone needs to exercise a bit of patience.

Otherness, the flaw in your argument about Maxit is that they are significant shareholders, or rather Sangha is, and he will care very much indeed about an exit value. His ambitions will be the same as ours and he will want the best price possible.

SM, I don't often disagree with your comments, but I'm afraid on this occasion I do. Mather's shift of strategy led directly to the problems we've encountered. Had he stuck to the initial gameplan we would not find ourselves in this situation. No one believed the production rhetoric and it seriously damaged our credibility.
I'm also somewhat mystified by the belief we are currently 'rudderless'. Sure, we're all worried about the current sp, but surely people can see what's going on here? We've entered a new phase under the control of a team who appear to share our opinions and I assume are giving full attention to ensuring the SR delivers on their promises.
I believe we're about to witness a seismic revelation and we have to be patient, no matter how frustrating that is. I admit, if we had not raised the cash, I'd be extremely worried, but we did and we have access to more - which we don't need at the moment.
I think folk should stop framing the company in terms of the old board and strategy - we've moved away from all that and are on the cusp of something completely different...I hope!

As its stands, we have no way of knowing whether what you say is true. The delivery of the SR should reveal the truth.

orthern, what would qualify as bad news in your book?
For me it would be a jv accompanied by either a minor distribution, or none at all; a tinkering with the corporate structure i.e spinning off bits with no immediate upside; a sale of Cascabel at a bargain basement valuation; or some insipid statement about exploring all options. The very worse outcome would be some tosh about seeking funding to develop the mine.

DG1, although I think some of the issues you mention have been addressed by the new management, I share your frustration.
Rightly or wrongly, I believe we will see something emerge which is completely transformational. I find it difficult to believe that our new masters have engineered the new regime with the intention of maintaining the status quo, particularly given everything that's gone before. There have been many clues and statements of intent and failure to deliver would lead to mass dissatisfaction on a grand scale. They've very noisily put their necks on the line and it's time for them to prove themselves.

SM, I'm not sure I understand your first sentence where you talk about CGP having their way and selling the company for peanuts. Do you really believe that?

Bozi, I think they're inextricably linked.
I'm of the opinion CGP demanded the SR as a pre-condition to agreeing to the merger. We know it's been going on for at least four months and quite possibly longer and I'm fairly certain they're edging towards a conclusion. Given my assumption, I think the management would like to take the opportunity to get the whole lot out there in one go.
