You misunderstood. I wasn't labelling the whole population of Western Australia, far from it. I have a nephew who lives in Perth and he's a bright lad who's made a good life for himself there. But then again he isn't carrying a bag load of chips on his shoulders.

I'm currently re-reading Heavy Weather by P.G.Wodehouse. Barely a page passes without a masterful description and by chance I've just read this and thought it appropriate:

BBG, I'm more confused than concerned. I don't see how a statement like that can be made public without shareholders being informed, although I suppose they could argue they've been evaluating and negotiating the proposals and as yet, haven't completed that process, hence the radio silence.

My own guess is that we'll see a raft of statements which pull together the various strands of the SR and we'll see them soon. One thing's for sure, we can't pass the y/e date without having secured sufficient cash for the next 12 months.

How was Caldwell able to make this statement? Surely the government would have done some dd in order to verify our claim, or did they just take his word for it? If he did provide evidence, why hasn't this information been made available to shareholders?

It's exactly two months since the RNS was issued and yet we are still completely in the dark. The government seems convinced the funds are available, but we shareholders haven't got a scooby.

It seems inconceivable that Caldwell hasn't got something to say about this and it's time he did so.

Eloro, you asked if anyone has had a reply from the company to any emails. I sent an entirely innocuous question last week and have not heard anything. Deliberate radio silence, or rudeness? Take your pick.

For the final time: We currently have 3.01bn shares in issue. If we sell the 155m, we will still have 3.01bn shares in issue.

If we reach exit point and the shares haven't been sold, they will be cancelled. Therefore we'll all own a marginally higher percentage of the company. Please note, it's not just SC who'll own a bit more, we all will. This is why he doesn't want to sell, as he's previously made clear.

SM, agreed. Very odd choice. I suspect you recall this topic was debated ad nauseam a while back. We went round the houses and eventually reached the right conclusion - as SH likes to say, the science was settled. So it's strange it's arisen again, particularly as SC will do whatever possible not to sell the shares.
