Henry's trying to be too cute. He won't win with the current structure. If Glencore want this, BHP have conveniently given details of what AAL won't accept, thus making the task easier for Glencore to assess and to price a more attractive offer. BHP would then have to either abandon their offer or rip-up the current one and start from scratch. So far Henry's not played this well.

AAL have rejected a new offer from BHP. I promise that if they offer a quid a share here I won't reject it.

Meanwhile, back in the real world, at the very least we should see the MD&A this week.

Eloro, we don't know what's going on, so I'm not implying anything. I was merely referring to the need for a DFS before we can raise funds to take this to production, and at this stage we don't know if one is being prepared or not.

My own view remains unchanged, which is that we will not be taking this to production.

Of course, being in Australia a direct comparison cannot be drawn, but it gives an insight into the structure of a financing package.

The one thing which does stick out is the fact the funding was based upon a DFS, which brings us back to our own situation.

We've had mixed messages on this issue; one minute we're told we've got all the info we need and no further work is being done, and then we're told that because the PFS was so comprehensive it's only a short step to producing a DFS. Which is it? Are we working on one, or not? I'm confused...again.

One thing's for sure, if we don't have one it's rather difficult to see how we can talk about having committed to $3.2bn in funding.

Bozi, yes, you're probably right. And you're also right about Nobby - he needs to deliver as much as we do. If he can prove his credentials as it relates to us, other miners will be greatly encouraged.
