What does crystalising shareholder value even mean? Its a laughably pointless buzzword which has succeeded in roping investors in. Nothing they ever say is tangible.

Dracula - Go back through the RNSs and see how many times the crystalisation of shareholder value is mentioned. You'll have to go back some years to find the first use of that phrase. Look at the SP each time it is mentioned and compare it to the SP today. Crystalised in what way? The value of everybody's shareholding here will be crystalised at zero at the current rate so I suppose she's right in a way.

Freddie... Do you honestly not see that the SP has fallen here because it has been consistently mismanaged and there have been numerous bucket shop placings and a lack of transparency from an arrogant BOD? Why is it all some mythical derampers fault? some people really can't be helped.

The SP would be many, many multiples. Is it likely to happen though?

the last RNS that wasn't bumf was an issue of equity. They can't let months go by and let their next RNS be a further issue of equity. Shareholders get what they deserve when they don't fight back. Every last person who owns VAL shares is being taken for a mug.

I don't think they can do much when it is regulatory approval holding things up. Its not as if they are just dragging their feet (which they were last year).

looks like the market doesn't like the update. They need to see the signature on the dotted line. It felt like a bit of a placeholder RNS anyway. At least it is a step int he right direction.

it is also interesting to see the changing opinions of some of the longer term investors here. I remember some of the names from them calling me a "de-ramper" over the past 12-18 months or so. Some take longer than others to see the light but one by one they seem to have realised that this is dump. I'd love to chuck in the last of my shares but, like so many here, it is better to leave them in the hope that something ridiculously fortunate happens. I won't hold my breath. A part of me wants to see it go under just to stop the payday for the abhorrent people steering this ship into the rocks. I know it is counterproductive but I still think I'd take some enjoyment out of it.

I suppose, as a director, you are going to put yourself in the firing line if you are arrogant, aggressive and dismissive of your shareholders' concerns. There has been absolutely zero goodwill from GM with shareholders over the years so the criticism he gets is fair and, to be honest, probably isn't strong enough. What benefit are the company receiving from him being there? Why would any potential partner want to do business with him? If this is a success it will be in spite of the BOD which means we need to get very lucky. Its not an investment, its a gamble.

I like the “exclusive use” bit. Big hint at future Ruyi contracts coming to Bagir. Great news but it’s still not over the line.

I appreciate that, Ironic. However, it is the unanswered questions that are keeping the SP suppressed and it will only rise once they are answered. I think this is fair enough. The market is jittery enough as it is. The fact remains that there is an FCA investigation. Why get mixed up in that unless you don't need to. Once it is finalised people will jump in and it'll rise. You can't blame them for staying away.

I agree that it looks like forward selling. However, it isn't helpful to say you have "heard" things when you clearly haven't.

The BOD are feeding off the shareholders' hope. They just need to put out another overly positive RNS with no substance. The savvy people will see through it and the rest will sit quietly and wait for their jam like good little boys.

correction: clearly the BOD are hugely to blame here lol. The point I was making was that there has been ample time to get out at better value.

Everybody had their chance to get out of this one at multiples of this SP. When a 1p deal is confirmed and you are still sat on your hands watching the SP rightly fall all the way back to the right value of 1p after the market games to let people out, who is really to blame?

to be honest I don't think the top men at SR care too much about this deal. I doubt it is on their agenda very regularly. It certainly won't frustrate them that it has taken so long as it is such a pittance deal. It is a huge deal for Bagir and a tiny one for SR. For example, I doubt the chief of Tesco cares whether his stores stock a new start-up brand of biscuits but it would transform the biscuit makers business. Ruyi... Please buy our biscuits!!

Why do you feel that the odds have diminished? I get that there has been delay here but this is China, unfortunately things aren't as efficient as they could/should be. It doesn't mean that it won't happen. If the lycra deal had broke down then I would understand the pessimism bu the fact it didn't and has gone through makes me think that we don't have too much to worry about here. As you say, nothing is certain on AIM but I think we are all on to a winner here.

I don't think cocking up your accounts, being investigated by the FCA and decimating your SP by 98% can be considered a master stroke but I agree that it has created a good opportunity.
