Thank you for taking the time to give many of us here some insight and focus from a different angle in amongst yesterdays mayhem.
It's very sad to read the criticism aimed at GM yesterday - we should reflect on what he is trying to achieve and as mentioned on here, the population would have a lot more to worry or complain about if GM had not led his team through delivering "Gold Standard" products which are proving a benefit globally in helping to save lives.
Let's also remember what it is like to build a new team particular on the scale that GM is doing, along side developing those "Gold Standards" I'm sure many poster here have during their careers experienced what it is like making significant changes to your team or building a new team, so often it feels like months of walking through treacle then it all falls into place!
For those on here that have also had dealings with the government will know that securing contracts for even the most basic items can also be like walking through treacle let alone for GM to be negotiating such high profile, sophisticated, complex contracts where lives are depending on the products and the urgency of rollouts and the pressures that comes with it.
I do however agree with Porky re the poor quality of the comms and the lack of updates throughout the year - as an investor I don't expect a minute by minute update but the company are achieving such great things they should be shouting out the high level/big tickets items which isn't currently happening - lets face it even if GM was the author of the RNS, it would have been circulated around the senior team prior to release so there is more than GM to take to task on this.
Other than the comms I think that GM and his team are doing an amazing job and hopefully all of the positive comments are being picked up by the company and not just the negatives - there is nothing more soul destroying that when you are exhausted by trying to deliver the very best you feel you are being attacked from all angles.
Let's now all get behind GM and his great team and hopefully have a better week next week?
