Rox. I think most blokes are like us. I cannot think of anything more soul destroying than searching through racks of cards and reading verses. It’s difficult enough choosing the cover so as not to offend nowadays. Another thing – I wouldn’t dream of waiting for the penny change from anything. My wife does.

If I know my wife is heading for Card Shop I sit in Aldi car park and do wifi for 30 minutes.
In this area we have 3 Card Factory shops, 2 in Blackpool and one in Poulton-le –Fylde. Someone at CARD is doing their homework well because Blackpool is a major party town and Poulton a slightly upmarket and very busy market town.

t’s all looking positive for £1 for Xmas. If I just had some spare cash to top up instead of the missus spending it all on cards!

Being a bloke I don’t really do birthdays or Christmas cards, except for my missus only and I usually buy in the newsagent or Post Office for between £2 and £4. She on the other hand is a card fanatic with a diary full of birthdays of family, long lost uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews and friends. She is a long time buyer from Card Factory because she has told me “They are the best cards at the best value”. She often buys 10 for a £1 to keep her back-up stock high – these she uses for lesser family and the long lost. She pays 99p and more, up to £1.49 for the closer family and buys the CARD special Xmas cards packs because “they are the best”.

I looked at some of her recent 99p purchases and was amazed at the quality and style of them - Colourful, good quality paper/card with nice graphics and decent messages.

Christmas is coming, CARD is getting fat and I am IN.

Friday seems the likely day Lee. Gold seems stuck at around $1800 for now but MTL has remained in the blue zone for weeks, even today in a sea of red. I agree that inflation can only get worse but I also think the price of gold is being manipulated to low levels. Quite how this works I don’t know.

I’m looking for some progress on drilling secondary targets as promised in the Darren presentation. This needs to include confirmation that all the remaining illegal miners have been moved from the same areas. If you remember Darren made the point that the illegals are where they are because of the gold underneath them.

I hope there is information on what the three new board members have been doing. Perhaps ensuring, quote “additional funding available from 2022 to be made available to accelerate exploration”?

SMT doubled their investment in WISE. This is just the latest in a series of great stock picking by the SMT team. I bought SMT for my grandkids at less than £5 just a few years ago. Unfortunately I wasn't so clever for myself and paid £8.90.

Stick with it guys. This trust will react to the ups and downs of the market but occasionally come up with a world beating pick.

I wonder if the new directors had a hand in whatever is going on? Perhaps a renegotiation of some or all of the debt? All should become clear this week.
