CV. I too was in around 2007and paid about 26 pence. Luckily I didn't add until recent years but I am still below your 5 million. Meanwhile gold is at $1982 as I type which is good for my MTL but not so good for other investments.
Good Luck all LTHs. May Day should be a good day for celebration.
Lots of day traders nowadays. On good news the price jumps, the volume jumps and all the traders pile back in this and it becomes popular for a few weeks then goes quiet again. This is the stock market now.. Even today MTL was up 9% and now back to 4.5 %. Hold tight.
British Bulls moved to BUY. We LTHs already knew that.

“Central banks closed out 2022 with reported net purchases of 28 tons of gold in December. Including large unreported purchases, this brought total central bank gold buying in 2022 to 1,136 tons. It was the second-highest level of net purchases on record dating back to 1950, and the 13th straight year of net central bank gold purchases.”

CV. I too have been with MTL for a long time. I think I initially bought in at 26p – LOL. Les (and you) did a great job in bringing together all LTHs and probably saved us from suffering a bad deal from the major shareholders. But I don’t think I was ever offered 9p a share but stand to be corrected.
During this time there have been a number of raised hopes and false dawns. The last few years of shares investment has seen a lot of new investors in all sectors, many of whom are looking for quick fixes, instant gratification and to make a quick buck rather than investing for the medium or long term. MTL in particular has suffered from this short termism that has been very noticeable in the past few months of spikes and falls.
The remaining problem seems to be the fact that MTL still owe £80 million, an amount that as we know, with current management, price of gold and current production might well be repaid in 12 months.
I too do not want to sell. I think we may have to wait until mid 2023 to see a better price but already we are almost mid-Feb during which MTL have been coining it. The next update will be positive again but whether that will be the key to a real rise remains to be seen.
I tend to agree with Gaddes. The directors, some of whom are new, should be seen to support the company via a few buys.
