I cannot comment on SOU as i don't follow them but do agree (for now) with your comments regarding ECHO, however if the Tobifera / EMS 1001 turns out to be huge not so sure i would be too eager to bag a profit right away, really comes down to the next 4 weeks and what they find, seems to me we either end up with more oil production or if EMS comes up trumps we have more production on steroids, case of wait see.

25% of something is better than 100% of nothing which is what we have now.

Seem to remember a few on here predicting ECHO SP would overtake SOU, they were almost right, its more a case of SOU price undertaking ECHO,

Agree 100%, these SP games have got to stop sometime very soon, feel there are lots of investors just poised to jump on this wagon

If they perforate and start production from the shallower springhill sections they cannot turn that production off to work on the lower tobifera sections, once the production tubing is perforated thats it, it cannot be unperforated, they have blow holes through the tubing and casing.

IMHO, It makes perfect sense to test / get production rates from the lower Tobifera first, if results are good in these 2 x 15m sections they can if they wish perforate & frac more sections of the Tobifera, as you say springhill was the better known entity, it will be brought on-stream but not until they investigate the Tobifera sections fully and get every last drop of production they can get,

God forbid if EMS is anything else but a success, it does not have to be transformational, though it would be great news if it were.
IMHO we are onto a winner, just a case of how easily does it romp home.

However my belief is they cannot have production and perforate / test Springhill, but they could shut in the production from Tobifera section while this was done, any experts out there that can comment ??

egg, it does sound as if EMS will be brought on-stream in stages, as WT post below mentions they have just perforated the Tobifera and left Springhill for now, though this is all based on hear say as it was apparently mentioned at the Edinburgh event and Cervelo posted this info, i do not have a problem with this "phased" production, good to find out what the Tobifera can offer, just thought i would mention it incase you thought they intended opening the taps to full throttle right away, could be weeks or even months before EMS delivers its full potential.
As MrAndy says, its a waiting game and hopefully not much longer to wait.
