No doubt a bit of that behind the overall decision too. Disney clearly don't want to be streaming big budget movies. Shorterguy and Oceanpassage will have to wait a few months watching repeats before they can view at home.

Disney could not push Mulan back further. They said it isn’t the norm and we’re forced to do it out of necessity due to an already crowded 2021 and to avoid uprooting it’s schedule once again.

Streaming is not the future. Cinema is here to stay.

Mulan was never going to be a popular film choice due to anti-Chinese sentiment globally. That will only benefit TENET viewing numbers assuming it will be a cinema release as announced.

Streaming loses the cinematech used to create the best viewing experience. You only get that in cinemas. There will never be an affordable home alternative that will come anywhere close. Most people also like to get away from there TV's and have an afternoon or evening out which again is something that streaming will never change. Streaming is for lockdowns, and only serves to compensate for cinemas being closed.

From what I can see, Cineworld in Scotland has two films listed and the earliest booking is not until September 12th. That’s not what I would call doors open.

Cine can ride the storm although one concern is will it be at shareholders expense?

Could be bull****. A whitehouse spokesman and the mirror are not a particularly good combination for the announcement of fact.

Drops over 5% in half an hour and no one has anything to say! Maybe all in shock.
