Jeffrey, holding often isn’t the best way to get you out of the red. You can sell on the next up and invest in some shorter term opportunities, possibly even buy back into HBR at a lower price, and take any short term profits.

Jeffrey, if you are holding then you will be waiting a long time. This is a play share, good news will come however that could take several years yet. Buy below 200, sell above. I sold at 221 yesterday after buying at 194 a few weeks ago. I work at HBR, long enough to know that, even when Linda has good news, she still makes it sound depressing.

Do HBR liabilities exceed the value of assets excluding tax losses? Their UK decommissioning liability alone is £6B after all.

Were you not trumpeting about buybacks earlier in the week?

Slightly confused by this given HBR announced 250 redundancies with a large amount of those being on Viking CCS due to government funding not keeping up with the pace of the project.

You are bang on, Linda wants the UKBU off the portfolio as soon as. Selling won't be easy so early into the this government however you may have some sniffing out a well priced opportunity a year or two down the line. A sale could trigger a move to the NYSE and a significant increase to the share price. Worth staying in on this share, especially at the current price.

Do you have any information to back up the EM comment?

Are there grounds for a legal challenge? I would assume some of the larger companies have taken advice on that.

Nitro: That's what HBR are working toward. It's a matter of 'when' not 'if'.

Many of HBR NS assets will be fast approaching decommissioning around 2030. There is a preference to sell their late life assets currently which, if successful, may well be followed by sale of J-Block and GBA. Relisting on NYSE is also high on the priority list.

August at the earliest.

Seems worth a punt at this price. Sorry to hear of folks losing big on this.
