Why no pre- close trading statement?

A trading announcement is due in a couple of weeks' time. I think Mr MacSween will be desperate to show that there is life after the failed Cinven bid and that growth is back on track. Will we see a bit of a lift in the SP in the run-up to the announcement? Let's hope so.

I think we'll see 100p in the first half of 2015. But until that happens a 7% yield is very attractive.

I don't think there's a fundamental problem here. The interim results were very solid if not quite as good as the market was expecting. I think the Board do need to keep banging out the message that Iomart is not a bog standard data centre company like Telecity. Iomart provides high margin managed services and at the higher end of the business I suspect the customers are still sticky. Maybe the Board should consider selling off Easyspace where customers are not so sticky and where there does not seem to be any growth. I sold about half my holding earlier this year at a very good profit. I've now started buying again. It may take time but I think the market will eventually recognise again the strength of iomart's business strategy.

Iomart now has a lower market cap than 2 years ago. Looking at the half year figures does anyone think that makes sense?

The slide in SP is getting out of control. Why don't the Board buy back at least some of the shares they sold at 275p? Or issue a positive trading statement. Or something. The longer there is silence the more people will assume that Cinven's due diligence exercise uncovered something nasty.

Excellent half year results. Interim dividend doubled to 7p. Should be decent rise in sp this morning.

Looks like a deal's been done at 300p subject to due diligence. Slightly disappointing price.

Somebody knows something! Is the Board about to confirm agreed takeover?

It's all gone very quiet since the Board issued a not too convincing rejection of the approach from Host Europe. Host Europe have not withdrawn their interest so I assume that some sort of dialogue is taking place, perhaps involving some due diligence. It would be nice if the Iomart Board told their shareholders what was happening but maybe they're working towards an announcement just prior to the AGM. The share price has been creeping up so it looks like the news may be positive.

The AGM is not until 27 August. I hope that before then the Board will ensure a steady flow of good news stories.

Strangely muted announcement from Iomart Board. Instead of out and out rejection it simply notes that the offers undervalue the Company. I read that as inviting other bidders to join the fray.

285p is a cheeky starter. I reckon price would have to be well north of 350p to tempt Angus.

Confident statement accompanying results. Final dividend of 6.63p for 2013/14 and 18.33p divi promised for 2014/15. That's a cracking yield.

I think this is still a great company but growth has slowed. Basic eps at 7.3p only 6% ahead of last year. P/e of 30 is probably about right. We need +ve news flow. More acquisitions, some meaty new contracts?
