Or, potentially a much bigger order but partially paid for with the credit note from the dispute. But this is now ramping - nothing to back this up.

Yep. Testing going through the roof. I had to get my family tested 3 times in the last 6-7 weeks, and we're not even into the usual winter cold/flu/other nasty ****e period yet. Testing centres mobbed, cars have 2-3 people in them on average. A few posters on here reported the same.

This is well undervalued now and should re-rate, unless there's major issues with the product/ability to get any sales/suddenly a covid cure is discovered at a cost of 5p per treatment, etc.
So anything above £3 would be my guess.

The stock write-down makes no sense to me. Is it going out of date (then why is the board looking for opportunities to use it in future?) If they are able to sell it to somebody, then why write it down? Are DHSC correct in their assessment of "not fit for purpose" then?

My wishful thinking feeling is that ncyt agreed to write-off the entire disputed amount in exchange for a large promate contract that is about to be announced (remember that 180m tender?). But wtfdik.

I have to agree - the company has done nothing on the PR side. GM is on his way out anyway.

However, look at other covid stocks that failed to expand, failed to make any sales to date, have no realistic future plans (and yet, have higher mcaps than NCYT currently).

The business is sound. Cash is king. Mr market will change his mind about ncyt, probably before the end of the year.

That's assuming we're talking the same £30m of stock.

Must say, while I am as disappointed with the lack of progress with the dispute as the next guy, I am slightly intrigued by the timing of today's RNS. 2 weeks ahead of publishing the results, they are already dumping the bad news. Is that just so that shareholders leave their pitchforks at home when they come to the virtual AGM, or are we about to get a flow of positive news?
LFT RNS in the next couple of days perhaps? Or a new contract?

Porks - they are saying they provided the £40m of promate to the NHS for free (£6m write-off) and also writing down £29m of inventory (What inventory?!).

"The Company will continue to look for ways to use" the latter. Some clarity would have helped.

But it's just accounts anyway. Cash is king, and we'll have half our current mcap in the bank by the end of winter.
