They know "Synairgen" is being googled, so they decided to get a couple clueless wannabe journos write two articles about it to get the clicks to their website (that otherwise won't be visited by any self-respecting punter). Reading what they wrote about SNG is as painful, as watching a porno star trying to act.

Funnily enough, one of the bat****-crazy conspiracy theories at the start of COVID was that the world's elites like drinking human blood and the virus was launched to cover up them stocking up on fresh blood supplies (I know, I know, this is too fecking crazy even for me). But hey, look, Trumpy is now stocking up on fresh human blood lol.

Nobody is selling based on dumb&dumber article. There is still significant risk attached to SNG - there is absolutely not a 100% chance of successful results and there is not a 100% chance of SNG001 even reaching the market. Pharmas, politics - all can play its role to snuff SNG001 in its infancy (15 years - she's not even allowed to drive a car yet!). As we had zero news over the last 4 weeks (not even an update of reg applications lodged/no development on talks with cluster of pharmas) it is fair that some people are slicing their profits. We are only supported by one new II (I expected more) and we had very little publicity in the UK and had, so far, no support from the UK government. The yanks would rather shoot up with oleander juice while Trump and his buddies are sucking the blood of virgins (using blood transfusion as an excuse to get their supply)... Bolivians are drinking bleach... We could have had the drug tested on thousands covid victims already and agreements with every major pharma to ramp up production ffs. The world is not responding to Covid (or to SNG) in the most rational way and this is adding further risks to our success.

Overall, very disappointing 4 weeks, but I expect positive developments over the next month.

Sala - peer review has turned into a rampers/derampers weapon. Most informed punters are aware that it is completely irrelevant.

We are awaiting news on the following fronts:
- Work with regulators about approval;
- Talks with a cluster of pharmas on taking SNG001 to the market.

Last month we would have gathered more data on home trials and prepared supporting analysis on COPD Interims. I do not expect COPD interims to come on their own - there will have to be an update as where the company is at this stage and what are the next steps.

Rich - I do not think we are actually getting COPD results - I believe the exercise is purely to support covid application? COPD trial was paused back in March. If SNG were wasting time on COPD in the last 4 weeks when they should've been blasting away at covid I'll be severely disappointed. It is important to have a solution for COPD, but it can wait, really. COPD solution might, on a good day, double-bag from current sp. Covid solution is priceless.
I believe somebody had more details on how (and why) COPD Interim review is being done.

Synairgen is now close to completing a Phase II study in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) patients with confirmed respiratory viral infections and pre-existing significant impairment of lung function. With 109 out of a target 120 participants already dosed, this trial has been paused to minimise the chance of vulnerable patients being exposed to further infection risk and to minimise distraction for respiratory staff in the UK hospitals and GP sites conducting the trial, who will be at the forefront in dealing with patients suffering from COVID-19. We are currently exploring ways to adapt the trial to enable patients in the pre-treatment pool to be dosed if they become infected with SARS-CoV-2.

Rich - wasn't the whole purpose of interim COPD analysis to boost the data about drug safety to support reg approvals?

Yes, of course it's not the COPD interim results we are actually after - it's the effect they have on reg approvals.

os - when it comes to comms, it's the perceived meaning of the comm that shall be taken into account.There is no way I would have personally signed off a comm like that to go out on last week of August unless I had reasonable expectation of results by end of August. They did not have include that sentence to answer the question and it is a very strong statement that will be misunderstood by a large segment of PIs if no results by end of August.

Not that this matters much for our SP medium and long-term, but I'd personally question the company's credibility for the first time since I bought in if there is no RNS by next Monday.

Back to serious business though. IR were asked about the SP drop. I would have gone for a basic reply of "no know reason, please refer to company RNS for the latest published information". They appear to have decided to state "results expected end of summer" as a reply to "why sp collapsed". A lot of people would consider end of August to be the end of summer, so they are either playing very loose with their words, or we are due an RNS.

Was the recent quote not along the lines "company expects to report...by end of summer". While I appreciate there is no legal requirement for them to report anything by end of month, to me, RNSing "expect end of summer" mid July is one thing, but the same phrase on last week of August will be close to misleading if no results are to follow by end of the month.

The reply folks were supposedly getting from the company is that they reinstated publishing results by the end of summer. It's quite a statement to make on 25th August! Might be an RNS incoming.
