I know we have got Zoro’s fantastic roadmap which has highlighted the key points for the coming weeks / months, however there is going to be a lot of newsflow in the coming weeks that could generate a lot of interest here.

Firstly we have the NCM quarterly which we will get a glimpse of next Wednesday night.

Fraser MacCorquodale (NCM’s head of exploration) will then be presenting at the Diggers & Dealers conference in WA on the 3rd August – NCM normally produce a presentation slideshow and sometimes a briefing book for this.
Shaun Day will be hosting his own presentation at Diggers & Dealers on the 4th August – maybe he will be using the existing GGP slideshow or we might see a new one considering the NCM quarterly will have been out for a couple of weeks by then.

On the 19th August NCM will be presenting their full year results and although this is not focussed on exploration when Sandeep does a webcast it invariably always contains a section where he gushes about Havieron and I expect this to be no different. Hopefully the Q&A session will be as lively as usual.

Then in September we are into the presentation season as well as the much anticipated PFS – last year NCM did presentations at the Credit Suisse and Denver Gold Forum.

I’ve had a count up and there’s 14 weeks between the quarterlies so I would expect the September interim results 7 weeks after the 22nd July, which works out to be the 9th September.

Sprinkle that with some results from the Juri JV and some news on the imminent start of the next round of Scallywag drilling – what a time to be invested in GGP.

Lots of activity at the drill pads in the Parlay area of Black Hills although interestingly the most southerly pad of the three is actually situated in the Scallywag tenement - are they taking the co-operation to the next level and allowing us the use of a Juri JV rig as we have kept our rig in the "good" section of Havieron - is there a bad section???

Here's an excerpt from the Saddle Reefs report from November 2019.

"Results received from drilling at Black Hills confirm the presence of high-grade gold mineralisation at the Saddle Reefs prospect. Best results include: 13 m @ 2.01 g/t Au from 67 m including 2 m @ 7.38 g/t Au from 77 m (SRRC012), 12 m @ 1.38 g/t Au from 32 m including 1 m @ 10.96 g/t Au from 35 m (SRRC011), 36 m @ 0.35 g/t Au from surface (SRRC010), and 19 m @ 0.51 g/t Au from 118 m (SRRC007). These results are considered very positive with several intervals greater than 5 g/t gold, indicating the potential for a fertile gold system at Black Hills. Rock chip samples were collected from the Saddle Reefs area. At Saddle Reefs, the mineralised sequence outcrops through a thin veneer of sand and gravel. Rock chip samples were collected over a strike length of approximately 800 m with results over 10 g/t Au including 81.7 g/t Au, 45.7 g/t Au, 37.6 g/t Au, 33.9 g/t Au, 28.2 g/t Au, and 23.5 g/t Au. Many also showed high silver above 10 g/t Ag up to a maximum of 106.1 g/t Ag. Gold (and silver) mineralisation in bedrock has been identified over a strike length of approximately 800 m (News Release, Greatland Gold PLC Website, 14/11/2019)."

You will also note from my tweet that they appear to be active around the Saddle Reefs area again too - I wonder if they are preparing to drill a little deeper there or perhaps they just want a drill core to get a better handle on the geology there.

Exciting times either way - 8 more trading days to what could be a bonanza set of Havieron results, could be more left-field news within that 8 day window, not a time to be out or short IMO.

Thrilled with the announcement this morning following on from the interview that Shaun did yesterday. It seems that he has been a very busy boy behind the scenes since taking over although no-one should be in the least bit surprised as GH stated on numerous occasions that Shaun had hit the ground running and was a very ambitious man.

Havieron must be like manna from heaven for him - it will 100% be the cornerstone that he can build the company on - while I wouldn't get too far ahead of myself - Newcrest was born out of Telfer and that asset was the cornerstone that allowed them to develop into the largest gold miner in Australia over the past 30 years or so.

Methinks that Shaun has big plans and ambitions for both the company and himself and I am looing forward to the ride over the coming months and years.

Agree with TT earlier that there are some on here that won't be in the slightest surprised when the full extent of Havieron is revealed - I'm only 53 and I'm hoping to be still around whenever that happens :-))

There is a message on the Sentinel homepage this morning - they have had problems with the accessing the data between the 3rd & 6th July. We might have the next image from the 9th before the one from the 4th is available.

"Multiple ground segment contingencies occurred between 3 and 5 July, preventing the generation of several Copernicus Sentinel-2 products in the following ranges:
Sentinel-2A from sensing orbit 31496 to 31504 and from 31526 to 31532
Sentinel-2B from sensing orbit 22589 to 22597 and from 22617 to 22624
The issues have been fixed on 6 July, the recovery of missing products has been already started and is expected to be completed by the end of this week.
We apologise for the inconvenience caused to your activities."

The Juri JV has moved on from Los Diablos - the camp that I could see there on the 30th June has disappeared on the satellite image from yesterday.

I have had a look at the Black Hills area and you can see where they are now setting up the camp just to the left of the Saddle Reefs area. I will be watching from activity around that area and the Parlay target over the coming days.

So that's drills from Goliath, Outamind and Los Diablos all in the assay labs at various stages of assessment and we have the next set of Havieron results coming on Wednesday fortnight - not a time to be short or out of the market IMO.

They get credits from the processing of the copper concentrate and the molybdenum, which when taken away from the processing/mining/admin costs for the gold mean they produce the gold for a minus figure.

I've just managed to listen myself - very happy with the performance by Shaun 100% better than last week and I feel that Andrew Scott firing the questions at him helped also.

I agree with Bamps that he was purring over the "beautiful vertical ore-body" and he knows it's going to be a breeze for Newcrest to develop this mine - he was waxing lyrical about how they have 35 years of experience dealing with a similar ore-body down the road at Telfer, of course there is a lot of work to do to get it to the FS stage and then to drill it all out for the block-cave PFS / FS to follow in years to come but absolutely nothing to be worried about.

The other thing I picked up on was the fact they were about to pull the trigger on their 100% owned Scallywag with one of the rigs from Havieron but decided to hold off as the rig was moving through an "interesting" section of the ore-body.
Sounds to me like they have a very good and close working relationship and that can only bode well for the JV going forward.

The PFS was always going to be based on the initial MRE with the hope that the infill drilling has increased the resource size somewhat and allowed it to be classified as indicated instead of inferred. I guess we were hoping that the PFS might also include a second inferred resource on some of the rest of the ore-body but looking at the positioning of the rigs for the "growth drilling" then they were never going to be able to drill it out to the required density to do this.

It's more important now to try find the edges of the mineralisation and they can concentrate on the business of the inferred MRE when they can continue with the infill drilling from underground.

The 4.2Moz will be sufficient for them to start mining the crescent zone and that is their initial target - remember this will be > 6g/t and some copper so will be highly lucrative. He also said that the Feasibility Study would follow on in early 2022 so the decision to mine will be imminent - they will be mining Havieron before we know it and it reinforces the fact to me that we will still be around when that happens and Havieron will become the cash cow that will allow Shaun to develop GGP into a proper mining company in the years to come.

Not overly chuffed with the presentation but try to see the big picture people.

Just a quick note to say I've spotted some other relevant info on the satellite data from last Thursday. It would seem that the focus has very much headed West / NorthWest. I have noticed another new drill location alongside the access road about 800m to the NW of Lake Havieron - I'm imagining that they are probing the depths underneath there now and then carrying on to the very deep sections on the NW Sulphide closure.

So much going on that it's hard to keep up with it all.

Thursday's daytime image is available on the EO Browser now. They have started drilling on a new pad out to the West.

It's just to the East of the position where the road from the field camp has the intersection that turns North to cut through the sand dune. I did notice a pad had been prepared there last week but looks like they are drilling there now. This rig is almost 500m to the NE of the position where we spotted the other Westerly drill last week.

Interesting given that we know NCM are not prone to drilling deep holes just for the sake of it - Paddy

The 1 million trade was for 18.9p which is right on the mid-point so nobody knows for sure.

It definitely won't be cloudy today Strudel - both the planet.com and the LandSat images are cloudless today.

The LandSat image is not as detailed as the Sentinel one but it shows enough to be able to do a decent compare and looking at the compare between today and the last one on the 8th June, I'm thinking that NCM have started to turn their attention towards the North.

You can clearly see there is activity on the pad out near to the original location for the explosives magazine - we saw they had prepared the clearing for that drill pad weeks ago.

There also appears to be activity just to the South of the Apollo target - again in an area where we have observed activity in the past.

Buckle up boys and girls - as we've said before NCM don't drill step-out holes for no reason, especially deep diamond ones that could be used productively in other areas.
