The new year will see the second part of the retention fee paid out (in shares) to the "team". This might coincide nicely with the fund raise of 14m - 21m shares ??

What would happen if China stopped buying Australian iron ore?

It is naive to think that this is an "all or nothing" situation. If China wants to frustrate Australia further then I suggest it would go as follows:

1. First, identify and encourage the import of high quality iron-ore from other sources (e.g. Africa and Brazil).
2. Second, ban the import of lower quality Iron Ore (to improve the air quality in China).

Banning the import of low quality ore would destroy the economics of some of the Australian ore which would either have to find new markets or be "improved" in Australia at added cost (and give Australi the polution).

IMHO it is a stunningly cheap share. However, it is so precisely because it is not on many investors "radar". For example the recent Guardian article (regarding the China / Australia rift and African iron ore) does not mention Zanaga at all. There have been several articles on Glencore about Cobalt, Nickel, Coal,... etc. but none on either of its major iron-ore investments. None of the brokers are producing research on Zanaga and I suspect Glencore / Zanaga prefer it that way.

I think what you are asking is what is the current price of these shares. The answer is we don't know because there has been no trading. This site is currently showing 6.20, due to 50 shares (or £3 worth) having traded this morning. On the other hand the dealers are quoting 5.06 to buy and 5.88 to sell, so you could take 5.47 as the price. However, the dealers are only obliged to trade in 50,000 shares or less on these prices, so have no bearing on larger trades. Further, the difference between bid and ask is so wide we don't know where in this range the "real" price lies.

I wouldn't get too excited about this article. It is cleary written by someone who does not understand money creation (i.e. the multiplier - Economics 101) - the evidence is this bit..

The money here is not created out of thin air it is owed to the retailers who accept digital currency for their goods and services.

Incidentially the real interesting point about governments setting up digital currencies is that they take banks out of the loop, so they can decide how any currecy deposits are lent out.

If Winning Consortium Simandou do sell shares in London it will provide an obvious direct comparison for Zanaga, and could be the catalyst for a price move.

Yes, correct RTZ. I don't know how that happened !

There are several things to decide at Simandou before any cash is committed. So will the owners of Simando 3 & 4 share the costs of the railway and port ? What will BhP do (sell, develop or nothing). Will Bawou Steel take over the Chalco investment (I doubt this can be finalised until BhP commit to something). What will the rail / port etc. cost and who will buid it ? Can the required capital be raised.

No doubt all of these things can be sorted, butit may take a while.

Zanaga could be faster and a bit cheaper to develop.
