CODIC are concerned about lending to a government with a record of needing debt reschedulling etc. (which ever Chinese entity does the lending is not relevant). Ultimately Congo will back down or will not get much of the development it wants. China has learnt a lesson - loans to Congo (etc.) win you no friends in the wider world and probably will be wasted / not repaid.

This all seems consistent with China adopting a more sensible approach to foreign investment. No longer will they lend to projects that are not viable and where there is no asset backing. China will not fund a new port as nobody has concrete plans to use it (e.g. Kore Potash can use the existing port for its DX project, Zanaga will use FDSO etc.).

It leaves CODIC to focus on the Zanaga development and synergies with that (e.g. Steel Manufacturing or using the FDSO for import of Bauxite etc.). I would not be at all surprised if there were to be another SEZ near to the FDSO!

The EMS for this share is 5,000 shares, so the market makers prices only work in those amounts. They are entitled to pay less for larger numbers of shares and will do so if they feel that they already own too many.
