The term B2B2C just smacks of offering 3rd party services to other banks to me rather than the initial B2C Goldbloc offering. I do think this could be a lot more lucrative and easier to market. Outside of our circle and the banking world who knows about Railsbank? Yet they are allegedly on their way to being a £100M business.

If LION can become the 3rd party provider of gold backed bank accounts to other banks and becomes a £100M company nobody has heard of then I will be very happy. I think Railsbank have opened doors that CP had not considered. He now also sits on their BoD so will be having an influence.

Let other banks worry about how to market this stuff to customers.

They already told me I cannot keep the shares in my ISA when they are delisted but some good news on the SIPP front I guess

Thank you for your message concerning your Lionsgold Holdings. We will shortly be writing to clients with full details of the reason surrounding the company's decision to delist. As your shares are not held in an ISA, you will simply retain ownership of these shares in your SIPP. However, as trading in the shares has been suspended since 11 May 2018, you will continue to be unable to trade the shares. Lionsgold have stated that they intend to relist on the Alternative Investment Market ('AIM') with a target date inside Q1 2019 although this is not certain to happen. If the company does relist on AIM you will then be able to trade the shares again.

Probably makes sense if true. I don’t see anything wrong with crypto but I get that most are still not really keen.

GB is hopefully working on being integrated into mainstream banking, offering the 3rd party admin so people can open a branded “ gold account” alongside their normal account, which will cut out a lot of the marketing needed. Much easier to get Railsbanks clients offering a gold account, Starling Bank etc. initially than trying to build a new brand. What would be amazing would be a big 4 link up, HSBC, with their Far East links, would be amazing (although a dream too far for now probably).

This is not from a source this is me just speculating.. I am maybe always seeing things too positively for some on here but who knows.

Nice to see an attempt at a sensible balanced post on this BB for a change.

I only have 500k shares in LION and hope they do really well for me and so far "as per my ISA and SIPP" I am showing a nice paper profit.

HL confirmed in writing today that the shares in my ISA will not be able to remain in an ISA following a delist. I can either have them transferred to by shares account, for free, or pay £25 to have a certificate sent. They also confirmed I do not get the ISA allowance back.

This bb has always been pretty ridiculous and attracted way too many trolls. The latest pages of rubbish posts really do bring a smile to my face though. I can feel the anger from some that all their time has been wasted and CP is going to have the last laugh.

This bb will probably disappear soon and at some point in the next 6 months, when it is right for the company, LION will relist (or be bought out).

The company is either going bust or in the middle of something unbelievable, either way nothing we can do about it.

Personally I think we will all make some serious money in the coming months on this share. But nobody on here really knows jack.

News due in next few weeks, Goldbloc launch in November (without the short term obsessed markets to worry about) an AGM in December and, hopefully, a relist or a takeover sometime in 2019.

I think the company will relist if they need more money to grow otherwise best wait for news of the takeover..

The original question was, should CP up the stake or RTO into Railsbank, which I did read before responding. As I always go back to the original post.

This has been discussed before and has some merit if Lion had more liquid capital to invest as Railsbank is probably a good investment. The danger with it though is that it then distracts even further from the core, “A gold focussed company”

As I said I am personally delighted we have a stake in Railsbank but for now I think getting Goldbloc to the market is the key (as you have said yourself on many occasions).

BA, honestly, take note of what people are saying, your notes are usually rambling at best.

No idea what purpose a Railsbank IPO and RTO discussion serves so it really is no wonder people challenge your posts.

Lion bought into Railsbank mainly to secure banking services for the next few years. Personally I think it is a great company with great potential so owning 12.5% of it is no bad thing and an IPO would allow a clearer valuation but speculating that they would want to RTO Lion makes no sense whatsoever..

Usual rubbish from people who feel the constant need to say something. There are plenty of iOS compliant private apps. Apps used by invite only that work on iphones. Many of the private banks have them for their top customers etc. Apple store is only for apps that want to be fully available to the marketplace, which I ams sure GB will be soon..

Once the relist is announced we will get all the answers, good and bad, so why sweat and waste time with pointless speculation?

BA, I think stage one of decoupling will not be as dramatic as you say.

I think Asia will centralize around a quasi gold standard to reduce currency volatility sometime soon. Africa, Brazil, China, India and Russia etc. may not amount to much of the worlds current global economic might (as per MSCI index) but they have an awful lot of the worlds population and they need economic stability and decoupling from Trump.

I think gold is right medium at the right time, with digital gold the modern version of.

With crypto, everybody is watching the SEC in the US with the ETF non story whilst Switzerland is quietly turning itself into the global center of crypto. The US is too full of its own importance to realize its place in the world is about to shrink, a lot..

I could be talking a load of rubbish but all makes sense to me.

Loathed to go too strong with an opinion on here and to be honest so very few people still get crypto there is no real point in trying to argue (even electricity was deemed pointless and evil in its early days)

Suffice to say, imo, one or more cryptos will be huge in the future. The problem is, a bit like junior gold miners, knowing which ones to back. So, I have put a bit into a few of the currency based ones, Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin and Monero (the last one being my favourite to go big), if they crash well hey so what. But if they fly....

On the digital gold concept, I like it a lot, hence why I am invested in LION. I am also into various other gold and silver based investments becuase when the US stock market madness finally ends I believe they will rocket.

Gold is also a big play in Asia and Emerging Markets, my other big long term investment play currently. The US is near the end of its global dominance imo.

I think I probably jumped out of the markets into Crypto, Gold and Asia/EM too early but in the scale of years this is just a blip.

I see LION as being a nice play on Fintech and Gold and Asia/EM but there again, as much as I like it, it is only 4% of my portfolio. Because, as Bitcoin, who really knows..

Goldbloc is not a crypto currency (a digital currency created and secured by cryptography). It is a physically backed bank account using gold instead of fiat. Gold is a deflationary asset due to its limited market size (like Bitcoin et al) but it is still a physical asset.

Golbloc will use the banking system not a decentralised Blockchain to allow the spending of gold but in essence will allow people to have gold in their account as opposed to fiat. It is a competitor of crypto and fiat.

As many of the worlds currencies continue to crash the crazy answer is to continue to print more money leading to further declines in real value and on, hence why holding assets in gold and or bitcoin will start making sense to many people. Hence the potential attraction of Goldbloc.

The biggest problem with gold however is that it is currently priced in dollars making it very expensive for many emerging markets, India etc. I believe that will change in the next year or so and Goldbloc should benefit.
