And.....Close Bros, which reached a low of £1.85 in Nov 24 are now trading at £5.25. In nine months the stock has risen 284%. Over the same time frame Lloyds has risen from 54.6p to its current price of 80.76p, an increase of 48%.

It's easy to pick time frames that show stocks in the best light. What no-one can argue with is that Lloyds took YEARS to get this far. I sat through '50p by Friday' for so long that I became grey haired. I'm not sure what your point is really? I would suggest people who sold out of Lloyds and bought CBG just before the announcement were betting CBG had more upside. I am just pleased both have seen an increase and I will still hold both long term. But history wont ever let me forget Lloyds is always the first to melt.

A much more exciting day for Close Bros, who saw another 6.74% rise. I wonder how long Lloyds will manage to stay at or above 80p?

I imagine she's still having a sleep after such a hard day yesterday, telling everyone she was always right about everything. I expect she wears a t-shirt with "intellectual narcissist" printed on it.

It should be easy for the lender to check the first condition. There is a need to specify a figure for 'excessive' in the second. We know from Hopkins 55% of the whole cost of the loan was considered unfair. Deciding the threshold and the required level of disclosure will likely be the main issues to determine during the consultation on the redress scheme. I don't understand how the third condition can ever be proven, unless it's explicitly stated in the credit agreement or any other written record of the sale.

Yes, Im hoping £2.5B is the maximum. Maybe the vast majority of Black Horse finance charged a reasonable commission that was within 30% of the total credit cost and the figure will be smaller than £2.5B; possibly that will be proved wrong. I think an opt-out scheme where every transaction has to be identified and reassessed is likely to have a high cost of administration. Think of all the different addresses people will have had since buying their car. It will also be interesting to see each lenders percentage of "loans owing compensation" out of all loans made, where compensation is owed because of the unfairness test.

I'll be intrigued to see the responses to Meconopsis survey. My estimate for CBG share price at close of trading on Monday was considerably lower than most that have been posted. Im not expecting to sell as I dont have a huge amount of CBG, but I am interested in seeing when and at what level the dividend is reinstated. This had all the hallmarks of a good money making business, so I'm looking forward more to enjoying a high yield in the long term than I am on making a quick profit. Good to wake up today knowing the judgement and I look forward to seeing the bill for CBG and Lloyds. I'm hoping it's not far in excess of the existing provisions, as was suggested in Thursdays FT piece. Good luck all in whatever you decide to do.

FTSE100 closed at 4.30 at 75.58p

NYSE continued trading after the judgement and swung upwards about 6 or 7% on the back of good news.

google are a bit flaky.

Good chance of opening around 80p on Monday. It just reached $4.40, moving the year high up from $4.32
