22Starship22, "The rise is definitely not because of btc" if not BTC what are your thoughts on the 24% rise today? As most here would agree, not the last financial results! Steve888 said his mate bought the two bigger buys just before one o’clock - averaging down & committed. I doubt that triggered the rise; we have had a few 1m buys of late with no movement. Whilst I’d love it to be a leak, I rarely jump to that conclusion. Certainly, it has livened this board up tonight. Be hell tomorrow if no news and it holds/goes higher. ATB
The accounts released on 30 June were for the 12 months ending 31 Dec 2021 - the accountants need time to compile them and then the BoD need to satisfy themselves all is well - it was a tricky year to say they were still a viable business!
Thanks Steve, good to know it was the same buyer, a buyer with confidence and £30k to add to their pot. ATB
Addisonshare, your post at 15:45 today, you may well be right and there is a leak but it could also be bitty is heading north again. We'll have a better notion tomorrow. ATB
Bantutrader, thank you. If ever they come up with an anti-aging medication, I will gladly take it. Tired of saying " I wish I'd stopped aging at 21 (years). I was born with a disabliliy but probably never acknowledged it. 3rd oldest grandchild yesterday said"Grandad, you are funny" - he did put a smile on my face.
I keep thinking 22p is ambitious - for end of September 2022 - but possible (ever hopeful). This could fly with several announcements and bitty turning - and keeping on the climb. Nobody knows, happy hoping. ATB
Addisonshare, I love that "all free money" - my ambition. ATB
RhHh, many thanks for your kindly thought. In short my answer is no. The longer version is that tumeric is something I have in my diet fairlly regulary - my wife and her family use it extensively. They suggested using it daily, perhaps I should but I do not like taking tablets. ATB
TripodMan, diito that. JS strikes me as merely looking for a nice quick turnover. Selling his warrants has not helped the SP when he sold the last lot - never does. Each to their own but, yes, I hope he steers clear of QBT. ATB
22Starship22, well now, I retired the first time on grounds of ill health - when I was 43. I've gone back to different roles a few times since then and have now decided enough is enough, I'm 71 this month and, amongst many health issues, my mobility is pretty dire with pain becoming more and more od a problem. Mentally, I'm pretty tired and do not want to have to go back to work. QBT could save my day. Keep smiling, thank goodness I have 4 grandkids! ATB
Addisonshare, as someone recently posted here, the size of anyone's holding is not an issue. I should add unless they cannot afford to lose it. Rarely do we lose it all unless the company goes bust. Most peeps do not go all in, I have (I think at times you have been too). If losing the lot, would cause hardship/ill-health then nobody should invest more than they can afford to lose, no matter how confident they are. The unexpected happens and perhaps especially on AIM.
Likewise, I do not take a company’s past trading history as sacrosanct and especially if there is a connection to cryptocurrencies.
Hey ho, each to their own. As always, what I post here is IMO. Peeps need to DYOR and figure out what they believe to be the best option/s. I certainly never have had a crystal ball. ATB
22Starship22, I have the feeling you are not alone. As I have said before, I do like the risk/reward here but with so many unknowns, at present, it is beginning to feel more of a gamble than a calculated risk. If the SP went to zero, I'd be pretty upset. I’m over £20k down still. If/when we hit 22p, my plan is to top slice and clear some debt and boost my disposable income (this crisis, that crisis +??).
I took a 5-year fixed mortgage last September so would like to hold on to the bulk of my holding to see if we hit £1 before selling any more. If we don’t hit either target, OUCH.
I’m retired so one foot in the grave with no desire to go back to work. My cautious side keeps saying “slippage” - based on experience, so I am thinking sometime in September to have a chance of the 20p plus range. Optimistic - time will tell but I see the potential IF time is on our side, and we are ahead of? ATB
As things stand, we have one patent application filed and one potential Italian court case (Sipiem), neither of which are assets with a value on the balance sheet. With 998m shares in issue, I would not expect us to have a SP anywhere 5p. Below 5p is nothing to shout about, or even discuss although we/I do.
So, without something tangible, I don’t see the little tiddler trades, or a 10, 20 ,30, 40, or 50% rise/fall in the SP as relevant. Most likely, IMO, most movements align with bitty. What is worth consideration, again IMO, is FG’s vision, knowledge, and hence the team he has put together. Most of this is ‘secret’ so not too inspiring. If peeps believe in fundamentals, we don’t have too much to shout about except debt, shares in issue and options on offer.
On the other hand, we could consider FG’s vision, knowledge, and drive. I like to look at the BoD members. I liked RKBeekeeper’s 5 posts on 1 April 2022 that gave an insight into FG’s character. These confirm my own view that he is not the typical AIM CEO that would sell their shareholders down the swanny.
The two most important things for me are FG’s vision and the breadth of the R&D being done. Unfortunately, we are in a rat race where time is of the essence. I have not seen any other company that has talked about the breadth of their own research to the extent that FG has. I hasten to add that I do not see any of his interviews, or comments, as ‘a sales pitch’. Another uncomfortable aspect is that I think, with technology and medical, the research leads to the occasional accident that is worth £b’s. Accidents happen!
So, for me, fingers crossed, I’ll carry on hoping, and waiting, for the right news to land IN TIME. I just hope nobody has invested their hard-earned dosh here if they cannot afford to lose it. For me anything in the 20 to 25p is life-changing but multiples of this will help my kids/grandkids. GLA, 600
God morning Suthy, I could not agree more. QBT is a tiny minnow whereas Intel and Samsung are at the other end of the Spectrum. That little word IF! I had not seen Samsung's news (4 days ago), so reading that last night was a bit of a shock. Back to thinking exciting times! ATB
Samsung and rockfordd’s post last night serves as a bit of a reminder of the need to re-assess any investment from time to time. Seeing how the market is working this morning, no need to panic! I consider that where Intel and Samsung are getting orders for ‘apparently’ faster chips, there is no proof based on miners using them. Early days.
I am toting up the don’t knows here and they are significant. News to come - is that a known or unknown when dealing with reality. Sadly, I’m thinking there are more unknowns than knowns which for me should mean I am gambling rather than taking a calculated risk. In truth, I guess I’ve always known this, for now I’m gambling. Why?
Quite simple, I like the odds. But I would not be here if it were not for the breadth of the R&D. This is not a one-horse pony! We are working at continued development and more than capable of changing direction when the tell-tale signs prompt us. So, whilst I echo the sentiment of “hurry up”, my cautious side, where I err towards my experience of ‘slippages’, I’m waiting for Q3 end to see where we are. I will not prejudge but I will carry on hoping/believing. GLA, 600
Starship, I hope so. This has the potential to LIFE VHANGING for anyone seeing the potential and prepared to take the risk. ATB
Suthy, I think with bitty, it could to our advantage whether the price goes lower or higher. With lower, miners will surely be looking for faster, greener and above all, cheaper ways to mine bitcoin. Trying hard not to get too excited here. ATB
Well done Suthy on getting a response. Once they have reached a definitive stage, we will get the news. As Miker, and others, point out, FG sometimes provides a lot of details in one RNS. Not forgetting the complexity of all that the various teams are working on means it is sometimes difficult to take it all in. News could drop anytime and when it does, I think this SP will multi-bag but also we will get a steady news flow as different teams achieve their goals. The prospects here, in IMO, are fantastic. The drawback is the testing of one’s patience - even the patient! GLA, 600
Good morning, Swerve, I can add to the frustration of FG’s saying soon. On 3 December last year he said, “We are APPROACHING the goal of mining faster and cheaper than anyone else on the planet”. Listen from 1:12: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uyx67cydEMI. I think comments like this and 10x, 100x, 1,000x faster have been taken as gospel by many who bought here. Approaching and soon are, for me, sales talk, not fact.
Let’s not forget Intel saying they have a chip that is 1,000 times faster - see the headline on 17 May 2020 “Intel unveils latest AI chip capable of processing data 1,000 times faster than normal ones” https://technologymagazine.com/ai-and-machine-learning/intel-unveils-latest-ai-chip-capable-processing-data-1000-times-faster-normal-ones
If it were not for the likes of the above, I would have been clicking “Strong Buy” here. So why am I here? Quite simply, it is the breadth of the R&D. This is also why I think we will be getting news in stages. As I posted at the start of this thread, I think we will get news on the testing first.
I am also hoping, the timing of this will keep us ahead in this rat race. Advances with technology is here to stay so timing is critical. ATB, 600
The truth is nobody knows when news will next drop. Dare I say, including FG. For me, part of being patient is accepting news will come when the R&D has reached the next stage. I do not think anyone could have provided a timetable for these ground-breaking developments. Whether we get some news in the next 4 weeks, during August or, September is not something we control so I am not worried BUT the clock is ticking and someone else may steal our plunder. I do think next week is wishful thinking but only time will tell. Exciting times ahead, GLA. 600
Whoops - BIG ERROR - I meant to say I AM NOT A FAN OF ANY CRYPTOCURRENCIES. Apologies.
