RE: Ghanaian parliament recall25 Nov 2024 22:38
There will be no bid much to my disappointment. Why bid before ratification? They’ve seen what’s been happening in parliament, very big risk to chuck £180m at something without the final approval in place. Perhaps after? I imagine they’ll be making a play for piedmonts remaining shares with voting rights before casting a bid. Unless they work in concert like rule9 suggests, perhaps the new merger co would prefer assore to take over so they don’t have to make the upfront payments to get things into production, then a simple offtake of the supply. Either way once rats in place the bid can’t be anything less than 40p imo.
