Quite why anyone would be surprised by the warning, when the business continues to deliver poor customer service, is beyond me.
£20 now in the rear-view mirror: Onwards and upwards.
Judging by today's RNS from LSR, it appears that Thalassa will gain control of LSR should sufficent other shareholders accept payment for their shares, based on a NAV distribution.
Arrogance of the Board in that it forms a view abouts its owners without bothering to ask them: "...concluded that a combination of the two companies had no strategic merit and was not in the best interests of Babcock's shareholders, customers or wider stakeholders."
Fortunately the loser who is our current chairman will be history soon.
The timetable for completion of the takeover will be published as soon as practicable. Expectation is that it completes in Q219. Personally, I'll be taking no action in case anotherparty makes a bid in the meantime.
Well good news even if it is a bit adrift of my sp target.
Nice addition announced today.
Looks like a good call for both of us to stay onboard.
Continues to deliver; one of the more dependable investments in my portfolio.
Positive results and recommencement of dividend; what is not to like.
RNS not yet posted by LSE. It's on Galliford's website: https://www.gallifordtry.co.uk/investors/regulatory-news
As a part-owner of the company I find it disturbing that news of an approach for a significant part of the business is communicated to me by Sky News rather than by the BoD.
Dividend will attract buyers over the coming weeks.
See my post 2 Feb 2018. For once, I was ahead of the game :)

Looking out 18 months, we have a growing debt-free profitable business which may well attract a takeover. The BoD having extracted an appreciable gain from the sale of Costa, may well repeat that with a sale of the hotel business. All-in-all a good company to be invested in, despite the short-term, relatively modest, trading issues.
Yes I will apply. Sadly the clowns at Barclays Smart have decided not to allow private investors to access the placing. Instead that have, in a very unsmart way, pointed me at dealing direct with Computerserve.
Lesson: Barclays Smart - what a totally inappropriate name - is not a home for me going forward.
