Why was the Mondelez contract renewal a bolt out of the blue. Were you expecting them to not renew and walk away? If so why's that?

Fact is Mr Kipling cakes are stuck in the past with dated and not particularly apetising choices. Seem to recall we installed a new £20m cake processing system a couple of years ago. Pity they didn't up the quality at the same time. Used to buy Mr K slices and cakes but now prefer Sainsbury own label, eg Carrot cake, coffee and walnut. The devil is in the detail with the Cadbury licence. I just hope we're not just chasing turnover and getting nowhere on what really counts ie profit.

That's it then. More of the same high volume low profit margins.

Let's not forget he turned down an offer significantly higher than the sp a year ago without even consulting us on the basis it significantly undervalued pfd. If one assumes he was acting in OUR best interests one might have expected by now to see either a better offer or better sales and increased sp. As it is it has been quite the reverse and we are now stuck with a major shareholder whose interests are probably not aligned with ours and ensuring other bidders kept at bay. He has done a big disservice to us and should be sent packing

Just looking at the Broker Ratings for Goldman Sachs over the last 12 months, it was interesting to note that the target price was anything up to £1 less than the actual price at the time and they always had a Sell recommendation. To me that suggests one of two things. Either they are totally useless or there is an ulterior motive going on here. Possibly it could be both those things. Great news for us shareholders. But for Argos staff at the massive Magna Park distribution centre, the reward for their fantastic effort is to be tupeed over to Wincanton at Kettering as Sainsburys are not renewing the lease on Magna Park. Happy New Year all.

You kidding? Look at the last 3 weeks, up from 2.28p. My son-in-law tells me this year's staff share save scheme has been so oversubscribed, they have scaled the maximum £250 pm down to £70 pm. That smacks to me of confidence in their own company.

People finally starting to take notice of this lovely little company. Only annoyed I sold half my holding a few weeks ago to top up in SAR which then continued to drop.

Anyone know what this is about. Have tried ringing both the company and WH Ireland as suggested in the RNS for more info but neither could give any info.

Re: Stealing candy. Yeah I used to think that. Then I had the opportunity to top up at 217p a few months ago. And even that wasn't the bottom. Didn't expect to be heading down there again so soon but who knows?

Positive RNS. Brings together 2 complimentary businesses and transfer of business to Leeds should help keep costs to a minimum. All helps to keep SUN on the radar of the bigger boys. My longer term hopes are to some extent pinned on a Smith and Nephew takeover. In the meantime nice to be back in profit SP wise.

If my local Sainsbury's superstore is anything to go by today, then the recent rise is not unjustified. Took ages to even get a parking space and then only after a verbal bash with a blonde who tried to steal it from me!!!

Don't know but certainly hope not the latter. Would want this well over £3 before anyone comes sniffing. Probably just a short term rise into the results. 10p is not a massive rise in SBRY terms.

Would have thought we might see a rise on the back of this RNS. Can only assume recent SP increases reflected a leak prior to announcement. All grist to the mill though.

Have to agree with shatter and Ebbandflow. Was thinking of buying back into OXB having made money in the past. Was waiting for it to drop a bit more, which it has, but only through yet another massive dilution. The BOD seem to have dilution lust built into their brains and with decent profits and divs seemingly years away, I can only see this happening again year after year until current PI holdings are pretty much worthless. Make your own decisions but don't be fooled into chasing a cheap SP. It can just as easily get cheaper.
