Not even a foreign pension fund or private equity outfit has to date shown any interest in RSA and is unlikely to do so, practically until it sorts itself out. A takeover is simply not about a predetor taking over a stagnant company, but more about undervalued companies being taken over and not needing a ''bottomless pit''

If RSA was going to be takenover by now it would have been, any potential suitor does not need last week's news to launch a takeover.
