I am happy with this 100% cash upfront outcome, so now a well funded Empire can really crack on timely in Australia just as the gold price is heading higher.

Also it means that going forwards Struthers is likely to remain more actively involved in his NED and consultant roles at Empire to support the new MD, now that the original Georgia agreement has fallen through.

Good to see the placing shares are not having any warrants attached….this should deter flipping.

The sudden price jump in BTC just over an hour ago looks to have been related to the publication of the underwhelming US jobs report for May......precious metals likewise have also jumped in price......looks like they need to keep printing more dollars and to push on with Biden’s mega spending plans.....

You sure do need to be hedged against the consequential rising inflation.....so the macro bull case for BTC remains fully intact. Keep HODLing !!

The PW video adds some important clarity to the RNS content....significantly he highlights that the revised miners purchase order is for better more efficient machines from Bitmain versus the ones that were originally purchased elsewhere. Hence this should quickly offset for any revenue impact for the minor delivery delay......

The ability to excellently overcome such matters that can arise from time to time when running a Company is a testament to both the strength of Argo’s management capabilities and their high standing key relationships within the crypto/blockchain industry.

I note that the previous published JORC (2012) used a Cu % cut-off = 0.3%.

Looking at the assay results published this morning most of the intersects are below 0.3% Cu.....

So my question if anyone knowledgeable here on such matters can reply is whether an updated JORC that XTR pursues can be modified to use a reduced cut-off value for the Cu of say 0.2%, so that the drilled area below 0.3% Cu reported today can be counted into the Cu resource tonnage that would get used towards achieving the Anglo buyback option conditions ?

And another thought.......Argo could offer hosting services including access to their new green mining pool for a profit sharing deal to expelled Chinese miners once the Texas facility is available. This option would avoid Argo having to incur upfront costs for purchasing of mining hardware.

So the Chinese story if it plays out would provide positive opportunities for Argo.

I can foresee another significant knock-on benefit if the Chinese miners were to go offline, as I don’t think it is realistic that they can all timely arrange to fully relocate themselves to other suitable parts of the world to continue mining.

Namely that there would hence quickly become a large glut of mining hardware that would become redundant and available to buy in the marketplace due to cancelled Chinese orders for new hardware and the selling of offline mining hardware into the 2nd hand market.

Now who would be looking to buy miners in the coming months at good prices / delivery times to install in a newly built mining facility in Texas I wonder......

DRC volcano major eruption - impact on Alphamin ?

Will be interesting to get news from Alphamin (ticker: AFM on Toronto venture market) regarding whether the eruption of the volcano close to Goma in the Democratic Republic of Congo will have any adverse impacts on their nearby Tin mining operations including the logistics, staffing etc....if yes then this could add further to the ongoing Tin price positive sentiment.

Canada has a National holiday today and so any news from AFM on this matter is unlikely to be published until tomorrow at the earliest.

Or it could be 30% higher.......

Looks a pretty good 1st drill hit to me being that they achieved a close to the surface (open pit potential) finding of nearly 5 g/t over nearly 2 metres of intersect.....This result compares very favourably with the recent results from ALBA who are sat at 5 times of the ARK mcap.

Let us look forward to the next drill results which from JT comments sound like they will demonstrate continuity of this gold vein finding. More good news to come me thinks....

One of my investing methods is to look out for such signs that are outside of the normal pattern of trading.....

I was planning on increasing my IDH holding today having seen those delayed 13th May trades over the weekend but alas the RNS has put paid to that.....anyway it’s still been a nice earner of 70% profit for a 6 month hold.

Best of luck with how you re-invest your profits. Personally I am taking a look at EVG which has some great IP and is cashed up but seems to have been forgotten by the market for the time being.

There has been lots of rumour on social media etc that Walmart has purchased Bitcoin onto their balance sheet..... later today we should find out, as they release their Q1 results......Would be very timely for Bitcoin sentiment if they have done so.......

Indeed.....Certainly no harm in waiting for it to play out.

Diagnostics company buyouts - new trend ?

The news here this morning has come sooner than I had envisaged and allows me to bank a nice profit...... -;)

However I think there is a bigger picture story potentially going on here whereby the previous sleepy town of the diagnostics world has really been woken up for the future by the covid pandemic.

Going forwards I can foresee that many of the large pharma companies will be looking to enhance their diagnostics credentials / capabilities. One of the fast-track ways to do this is to look to buy-out small to medium size existing diagnostics companies who have good IP etc, just like what has happened here with IDH.

I really see this as a wake up call for other Companies in this space such as the likes of GDR, ODX, NCYT etc......

I believe there is an ongoing accumulation of IDH shares by a significant buyer which was first started back in late April (see my previous thread). They look to have been slowly picking up shares in this illiquid stock over the past several weeks to avoid causing a SP spike.

Today we can see 2 very large buys printed from close of play yesterday (13th May). One for 140,000 shares at 260p and the other for 175,000 shares at 263p which like was done back in late April was sneakily reported over on the Aquis exchange......these two trades total up to be more than 1% of the Company.

They could continue to accumulate more stock in the coming weeks and if so sometime down the line we can expect to get a TR1 to tell us who is this mystery large volume buyer.....
