When Bitfarms announced that Argentina was going to be the location of their new main mining facility I saw it as a significant negative factor for them versus all the other major miners who are setting up new facilities in North America / Canada. This news article illustrates the risks that exist in dealing with countries like Argentina whom have a colourful political and economic history….

The Bitfarms CEO is Argentinian and so his vision is likely blinkered for these risks of his homeland.
Personally I would not touch them as an investment.

However there could be near term headwinds in Kazakhstan which had significantly expanded its Bitcoin mining capacity in the past 6+ months due to the China exodus, as per this linked news article. The winter months are coming shortly in Eastern Europe when power demand is greatest.

This should help to keep a lid on hashrate increasing too much in the near term and thereby aid Argo’s Bitcoin production count in the coming months.

Yes excellent volume…….circa 3.7% of the total share count were traded during the day.

Usually it’s bad news day and Companies seem to mostly avoid publishing good news on a Friday. However I think STAR has actually pulled a blinder here to issue their news today because there is nothing much out there to compete with today at the top of the LSE leader board and so it will get more PI eyes and attention on to it and potentially see them jumping on board here today….

Still good value here at circa 15% below the recent 30p placing…..cashed up with lots of irons in the fire…..

These investors going in at a 30% premium to yesterday’s SP would have taken a close look at STARs look-ahead potential (business development & financials) when performing their due diligence……they clearly liked what they saw and IMO these new Contracts mentioned in today’s RNS are likely to be pretty much nailed on for upcoming award to them.

Yesterday’s UT was IMO deliberately done to get Avacta high up on the loser board at start of business today and thereby look to shake a few weak holders out of their shares on the cheap ahead of big news due shortly…..

This news looks to involve RGO lending finance into a new diversified business sector with good annual interest and warrant terms….wonder if it will be RNS’d…..

Good to see the Deepverge commercial news release this morning……they are likely to be using Affimers within their PD technology deliveries to China, India and UK and if so this would provide revenue to Avacta. Refer to Avacta RNS dated 13th July 2020 for the related collaboration details with Integumen (name was subsequently changed to Deepverge).
