I have been invested for a number of years and got hit by the share price drop caused by the massive change in timeline. Also hit by the drop caused by Braknor. I’ve held throughout and topped up because I trust the company has a good product and that the finances will become available if they hit their new timelines. I do believe we should hear by the end of the year about a financing package to get us through the next few stages and to repay the loan due to be repaid in March. They did keep saying the £25million loan from metric was still available so it will be interesting to know what’s happening there. I think another few years until I start to see a return on this but happy to wait. Would like to see the “investor engagement” Nicolas promised at the investor presentations in March as it’s not been happening.

No more news on the scdtl’s. They have managed to get one out of 4 done and that took over a month to do (according to their timeline) they have 3 more to do in only 1.5 months. Still financing. Harley street is bottom of the list at this point finance and hitting technical milestone are key for AVO after their atrocious record of hitting targets.

I would have thought we would have heard something about the second scdtl being connected and tested by now. Only two months and all 4 should be intograted.

Looks like it will hit the sub 90p soon.

Surely the worst scenario is the tech doesn’t work. Next worst scenario is they don’t secure any more funding and go under. But we have to trust that the scientists are right about he tech and all the modules will work together and we also have to trust the management when they tell us they are getting positive feed back from financiers. I have more concerns about the financial side of things and think the next 6 months are a crucial time for this. If we can’t pay the loan due in March we lose a lot of things that it’s secured against as well as credibility.

If they carry on like this with the technical advances and secure a long term financing plan it will be onwards and upwards. I think the next few months are a crucial time for the latter.

Well I was wrong about the end of the year. Good news about the SCDTL.

What he says is accurate. from next year IBA will have a manufacturing hub that can manufacture 20-30 proton therapy machines per year. Yes they are cyclotron not linear like AVO's but I would say they are by far the market leaders in Proton therapy. They are kitting out the 3 proton therapy centres Proton Partners International are opening in the UK with the first treating patients in 2018. AVO need to prove their ability as a company is better the IBA and not just the product. AVO frustrates me because I like the product but not the company. I usually invest in companies and not products but this time I went against that judgment. That could be my undoing.

I don't think they should be trying to make a sale at this point but they should be selling the company, the benefits of their machine over the market leaders IBA, the expertise of the team who will implement the system for customers. Do the ground work now so when they do have a product to sell everyone knows who AVO are and want to be part of it. Proton Partners International don't have a clinic treating patients with proton therapy but they have been all over twitter, in national press, local press etc for a long time. I feel like WOW those guys are good and know what they are doing and if I had to go for proton therapy I would go to their clinic over Harley street because of all that hype. AVO should make people want their product and them to set up their proton therapy centre before The LIGHT machine is even finished. If they have a marketing department that's what they should be doing whist the professors and doctors are building and testing the machine.

I would like to see the company and the product showing up in interviews, websites, press releases that aren't related to investing. If you do a news search on google all you get is proactive investor and directors talk. It would be good to see them really getting themselves out there. A company I think does this well is Proton Partner International, they are always doing interviews or tweeting time lapse videos of their builds, photos of the CEO of IBA visiting one of their sites. As Bill Gates said "there's no point having the best product in the world if you can't sell it...because someone with a slightly inferior product will always be more motivated to sell theirs."

I imagine there won't be any news on Geneva until at least the end of the year. I don't think there will be any pictures or videos coming out of there either due to security. This might be easier for them when everything is shipped to the Thales site In Q1 218. I hope financing news will come before all of this though.

Toshiba manufactur the klystrons which are part of the RF power unit which explains their involvement. Who knows why an engineer has to visit the Harley street site. They might just be interested in the project Or they might be advising on something to do with the build.

Unfortunately revolutionary I don't have a clue about construction so I don't pick up on things like that. Let's hope that's the case and it's progressing well. It's good different people see different things in pictures, reports or articles etc. Fingers crossed the work in Geneva is on target as well because that is the more crucial component for AVOs success.

I find it a shame that I get more information from staffs Facebook and LinkedIn pages than I do from the companies social media or RNS.

AND nothing. I just like to know things like this PM44. When I'm invested in a company I find little things like this interesting and helps me build a bigger picture.

My hope is AVO have demonstrated to him how they intend to finance themselves going forward. He said they expect more long term financing before year end. I would imagine AVO would have had to demonstrate this to him before he gave them a £3.9m loan. I am hoping we enter 2018 with technical milestones behind us and a solid long term financing plan in place.

I did enjoy the interview but am concerned he thinks other machines can't be mass produced. From 2018 IBA will have the ability to mass produce their superconducting synchrocylotron which is used in their single room proton therapy machine. Currently they produce 8-10 and from next year 20-30 which will be 3 times what we will produce with Thales.
