It appear Global by Nature lost the first round but then appealed in Nov 24 to the first tribunal and won, the decision was issued around 7 weeks later on 9th Jan 25.

Whats happened now is HMRC have appealed to the Upper tribunal on which we await the outcome..

If anyone has a different interpretation please fire away, not an easy topic to search on..

At a guess I would say the HMRC appeal has already been decided but not yet formally published.

Upper Tribunal web site has a list of hearings but doesn't appear to contain any references to the aforementioned appeal, is this an indication a decision has been reached but not yet filtered down to HMRC web site?

HMRC is appealing but its a question of if the appeal is allowed, if no then that's it the first court decision stands.

With regard to the VAT appeal, are we still awaiting the outcome of Global by Nature as to whether HMRC has been successful in appealing the initial VAT ruling.

S4 will have to move off the transition category at some point, this I think was a temporary measure to allow companies to get their ducks in a row before shifting to the new category.

Its costly requiring the appointment of a sponsor and other measures to qualify, its hard to say if this would attract additional liquidity in the form of new holders.

Its a been a crazy time fro anything China related, just one thing after another but Trump seems to be mellowing, or at least the TACO trade is in play judging by markets response.

There is a huge gap between what Ai has promised of do and what it actually can deliver reliably, many companies have either bought in on that promise or are waiting to do so..

Just six months ago Anthropic’s CEO Predicted AI would write 90% of Code by Today, well here we are and the figure is nothing like that by a very long stretch, Microsoft is forcing coders to use Ai, there is also companies advertising code correction of Ai generated code, something that didn't even exist.

Poker I do admire your approach to taking the otherside of the argument almost by default, but please look into some of the links/videos posted here first.
