Both Ulta and e.l.f have similar business models which are mainly based around, beauty shops, hair saloons along with large retailers, from memory online sales represent less than 20% of overall sales, possibly as low as 13 - 14% for e.l.f.
Both are very good at what they do, totally on top of their demographic through a well subscribed loyalty card programme.
The market is paying for a 'sticky' customer base, reliable earnings which have done well despite inflation and interest rates, seemingly unaffected, downside of course is overheads.
