Is that tiny amount of shares purchased representative of actual volume available, i.e. very few sellers but plenty of churn ?

This is the thing with prop traders churning stock, when a buyer comes in they stop and suddenly it becomes a tad illiquid.

I get where you're coming from Crafty, and of course it goes without saying unhappy at the dismal valuation.

The question for me as a shareholder is would you get a better valuation in say a years time or now, if the former is correct then it surely is better to wait, THG do not need the cash having raised at the absolute pinnacle of market sentiment, bide our time?

THG's balance sheet will look much more attractive 12 months from now at a time when interest rates should be going down.

The exception to above would be if a partner came along, that would change the whole dynamic depending on who/where it is, different ball game.

OSG, yup, but not sure how broad of a rally it is, mag seven and all of that.

Its not my intention to sound bearish as absolutely not, just have a longer time horizon given market conditions..

Why not see out the recession, emerge leaner and stronger build the business up organically - share price will follow then look around for options, I don't get this notion of moving or doing anything while the company/economy is at its weakest ?

IPO when the market is hungry, cash swirling around, then you get a 596p valuation..

The company is not financially strong enough, not yet anyway, you cannot action changes to satisfy a small minority of share holders at the expense of others.

It would be like trying to sell that huge ocean liner half way through fitment, instead of seeing it through, taking bookings returning to profit.

All of this is well detailed in both the IPO prospectus and subsequent capital raising blurb.

Right now managements focus should be on getting through this downturn as best as possible, any more at the moment is a bonus imo.

Its a very small amount (buyback) but don't forget a high proportion of trading is churn anyway, it does make it harder for prop traders to move the price knowing there's an actual buyer behind quotes.

If things improve they could also renew the buy back scheme incrementally.

Nige, I think they renamed their funds a while back, also with that size of position we would have had multiple Tr1's issued, also SEC filings.

I would always use those two sources as a default, as mentioned before Bloomberg relies a lot on being updated by others.

Pleased to see the buy back programme although small, it shows the board are concerned about current valuation.

That's the whole idea, to improve sentiment and to take advantage of a low share price which benefits shareholders.

Its also a strong vote of confidence in your own future and financial ability, especially if shares are held in treasury which can increase in value, and or be used to pay share awards.

Also helps with financial metrics, less shares, future earnings.

Its a bit confusing, not 100% sure what their overall position is - looking at the SEC filings below they file under Franklin Templeton and Templeton, some have sold, some have bought.

Agree on the LSE though, total shambles but at the same time mindful of the process and cost involved with US listings, UK shareholders would have plenty of notification in advance.

I thought the message was about getting through tough times even when your critics are fierce, hence the Beckham reference, didn't see it as moving to USA at all, especially as it would have raised concerns amongst staff.

EV market went crazy especially in the US, customers were paying $30-50k premiums for Ford f150 Lightening, now you cant give them away, Ford, GM all shuttering production. Ditto Tesla.

Tesla warned yesterday, UK CPI was distorted by tobacco tax increases, Fed simply cannot keep rates high not with national debt interest payments set to top one trillion dollars.
