The "About Byotrol" section at the bottom was interesting and I learnt more about the company and where it is used than from a lot of other stuff I have read about them. I didnt bother reading it at first, just the NHS stuff. I checked the link worked and read it then. When you read what they are doing and where they are planning to go with it all - it completely reinforces my belief in the company and its products. The article that you have posted the link to, BawanM, I think has been taken from this more detailed report. The cost savings are tremendous, they have listed a lot of them in this article. RNS said August for it all to be finalised I think. They have been talking etc for the last 6months and as per the Rns, when you read it all of the way through - it suggests that the Mou would lead to final documents being signed by the end of Aug. Here is that final section of the RNS;- CONDITIONS PRECEDENT Completion of the proposed transactions set out in the MOU are subject, inter alia, to the following conditions precedent: * Completion of outstanding due diligence items by Jinchuan; * Signing of definitive legally binding agreements; * Toledo and Jinchuan Board approvals; * Jinchuan having obtained all relevant Chinese governmental and regulatory approvals; and * Toledo shareholder approval for the Share Subscription and receipt of all other required regulatory approvals and any required Philippine joint venture board approvals. Toledo and Jinchuan hope to enter into definitive legally binding agreements by the end of August 2010, with shareholder approval being sought shortly thereafter. What the Rns and its contents confirm is that the Sp is still well under valued hence the new shares being at 42p. Here is a snippet for those who have not seen it;- BYOTROL, the North West company pioneering technology to kill bacteria such as MRSA and E.coli, is developing a domestic cleaning fluid with McBride. The Manchester business said its joint venture, Byotrol Consumer Products, has signed the agreement to work on a hard surface cleaner to be targeted at consumer markets in the UK and Ireland. Under the terms of the deal both companies will develop and jointly market the product this year. Once this programme is finished the two firms plan to enter into a licence agreeme... $140,000 Order is a good step into the US market, I am looking forward to a succession of orders from both the US and here in the UK. Here is the news item for those not having seen it;- Business Financial Newswire - Hygiene company, Byotrol reports that its US subsidiary, Byotrol Inc, has successfully completed its first order to Tink's, the largest supplier of hunting lures and scents in the USA. The opening order, valued at $140,000, is for the supply of odour elimination products .Tink's will be supplying Byotrol based products to a variety of stores in the USA including Wal-Mart, Bass Pro Shops, Cabela's and Dick's Sporting Goods. CEO Gary Millar comments:"This is a significant development for Byotrol. Halal accreditation is really good news, there is a massive market for a product that does not include alchohol in its contents. Not just for Muslims... Here is the article for those that have not seen it... Byotrol, the Manchester-based biocide developer, is eyeing the Muslim market. The company’s alcohol-free hand santisers are compliant with Sharia law and have become the first to be approved by the Birmingham-based European Halal Development Agency. Gary Millar, Byotrol’s chief executive, told Crain’s that Halal accreditation was “potentially a very exciting development”. He added: “There are large sections of the population who do not want to use alcohol-based hand gels. “We are seeing a lot of interest coming in from the clinical healthcare sector, the food and beverage sector and the public sector such as prisons and government departments.” Millar said that Sharia law allows the use of substances containing alcohol for medicinal or hygiene purposes if there is no alternative. “We want Byotrol to be seen as the alternative and we’re trying to get that message out. Ready for take off, yep its been a slow builder but I think not far off for a climb. I see the link has been posted, I will though post the note to read on here.. I have been too busy to spend too much time on the site, plus along with a lot of others my portfolio has drifted down with the general malaise in the market place. so havnt bothered lookin, watched clock and all that. All will come right I am sure, this firm has such good products in a market that is in need of them - plus people are far more concerned with bugs and protection - they are being more widely promoted so, ready for take off - my seat belt has been fastened for some time but I think we are starting to taxi along to the runway now.... The NWDA have given a £440K Grant so thought I would add some up to date info, plus am bored with looking at my post from April every time I look to see if anyone else has bothered.... Research and Development Grant for Byotrol Technology Manchester based, Byotral Technology Ltd has been awarded a £443,824 Grant for Research and Development by the Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA) to develop an innovative bio-medical product. Based in Collyhurst Manchester, Byotral develop, patent and sell products based on highly innovative anti-microbial technology. With NWDA assistance the company are able to develop a second generation solution that will kill bacteria on application and remain active, continuing to protect surfaces for a period of time. Current anti-bacterial technology works by killing bacteria, but once the formulation dries it becomes ineffective, leaving the area prone to recontamination. The Byotrol formula will remain active after drying providing ongoing protection. The project will safeguard 5 jobs and create 3 new roles by 2013. Steven Broomhead, Chief Executive, NWDA said: “As Europe’s biggest Biomanufacturing region, this project will position England’s Northwest as a leader in next generation anti-microbial technology. There is a clear commercial potential for the product, which could benefit large organisations such as the NHS and MoD.” Dr Gary Millar, CEO for Byotrol Technology commented: “We are very excited and proud to have been awarded an Exceptional R & D grant by the Northwest Regional Development Agency. Anti-microbial hygiene company Byotrol plc (LSE:BYOT) reported on Tuesday that its board of directors has granted options over 400,000 ordinary shares, or 0.48% of the company's issued share capital, to new CEO Dr Gary Millar. These share options are exercisable at GBP0.17 per ordinary share, based on the closing mid-market price of Byotrol's shares on Monday. A total of 300,000 of the options are exercisable between 1 April 2013 and 12 April 2020. Under the performance conditions attached, 50% of the options will be exercisable if and when Byotrol's share price reaches GBP0.30 per share and remains at that level for 30 consecutive days. The other 50% may be exercised when the share price reaches GBP0.50 per share and remains at that price for 30 consecutive days. The remaining 100,000 options are subject to operational performance conditions relating to the financial year to 31 March 2011 and are exercisable between 1 April 2011 and 12 April 2020. This letter from Chief Exec re RHPS was posted on another board, hope they dont mind the copy and paste on here. They did say it was not secret. They had sent in a letter asking about RHPS comments and this was the reply.... Dear xxx Thanks for taking the time to write us. We continue to make progress at the highest possible levels; the MRI study; the GRI study; Marks and Spencer approval (only new disinfectant in 8 years); agreement with Fortune 150 company; only Boots product with co-branding on front of pack etc. These organisations take great pride in validating the technologies they adopt; they know how good our technology is! We continue to make progress despite that fact that some (and us included!) want to see a faster growth plan. We operate in a very difficult and conservative market place against some of the largest firms in existence. Yet we have made considerable progress as I have mentioned above and we continue to do. I wasnt suggesting that the Byoshower product would be the cash cow for the company, just that it is one of the first products being publicised and brought to market, so will hopefully generate more awareness of the Byotrol product. More awareness means the developement of the Byotrol Brand and off we go as more products are brought out.. 2010 has been the year it will take off from all that has been written about it. I picked this info up on fitsense.co.uk and thought would share it - just shows ongoing stuff and products the company is doing. The NHS knock back was a blow but this is not a one trick pony, the range of applications for the product in this ever increasingly paranoid world is phenominal. Health and Hygiene is such a big market place and Byotrol is coming more and more into the public eye I have been looking out for marketing info/publicity about Byotrols products and I think posted last week about the Byoshower product. Thanks for the input, it feels like a lonely bb here, both you and Andy_C have mentioned ADFN but I have not as yet ventured on to it. I watch mainley here and a limited amount on ii. I dont think I have the time or computor space to be looking at or juggling between all three plus trying to work! So am I missing out?? A GEL used as hospitals’ frontline defence against superbugs stops working soon after application, warn researchers. Dispensers for an alcohol-based hand gel, called Spirigel, are at the entrances to every wing and every ward of every hospital in Britain. However, research by the Agri-Food and Biosciences Institute found the gel was less effective than water-based alternatives. They discovered that the alcohol-based gel stopped offering protection against bugs as soon as it evaporated. The findings will fuel calls on NHS managers to press ahead with a roll out of a more effective alternative that has been successfully trialled at Manchester Royal Infirmary. Byotrol was originally designed to stop mould growing in bakeries but scientists believe it could beat bugs such as C. difficile and MRSA, which claim more than 7,000 lives a year. The gel was measured against three other hand foams. After 24 hours the NHS gel offered no protection while Byotrol retained a 99.9 per cent kill rate against germs. Toledo Mining Corporation plc ("Toledo" or the "Company") (AIM:TMC)is pleased to announce the appointment of Ken Stein as Chief Operating Officer ("COO") of the Company, effective 1 April 2010. Based in Manila, Mr Stein will be responsible for managing Toledo's assets in the Philippines and will report directly to the Chairman, Reg Eccles. Ken Stein joins Toledo from European Nickel PLC where he has been responsible for managing European Nickel's participation in the Acoje heap leach nickel project in the Philippines.
