My reading is that western nations are outraged and don’t want to be seen with a Russian, regardless of the consequences for its citizens; the rest of the world, however, see opportunities to get cheaper energy, which will help billions of their citizens to stave off mass starvation and poverty.

I got shot down on another bb trying to get perspectives on the 5000rb for gold issue and its possible implications, and the thread was deleted after outpouring of moral outrage that somebody wanted to discuss a matter concerning Russia, even though the issue was really about implications for gold.

Company can delist from London and re-list on another exchange. The gold is still in the ground and worth £billions. The biggest risk is nationalisation of Russian assets, but I’m not so sure Puts would do that.

PS all this do-gooder posturing is just hurting Western countries, citizens, investors, pensioners etc. At some point people will start realising this and start asking questions of our leaders.

Thanks. Just saw annual report. Roughly a third of revenue is attributed to mines in Kazakhstan. That would be a minimum base for corporate value I think. Also quite a bit of sales from Russian mines seems to be to banks - may be to Russian banks?

Does anyone know what proportion of Poly’s revenue is from Russian mines vs Kazakhstan etc?
