Agree completely, it's likely that the infection ratios will be in that ballpark, but they can't go round infecting people, what if they become seriously ill or have long term complications, they have to rely on natural infections, the liability otherwise would be immense. So it'll be a good while before they're certain of efficacy and safety.

90% of those that became infected were from the placebo group is their logic. I suppose they have to assume that everyone behaves similarly and so have equal chances of infection, and most of the infections are in the unvaccinated group.

Who knows what the market will make of a bigger company with complimentary products, with a wider combined geographic footprint? I'll not sure what you mean by weight? The question is what does market think the future looks like together Vs apart and therefore what price does it give it. Neither company is massively over valued in my opinion. As it stands it'd only take 2m of earnings and a reasonable pe ratio to justify the dvrg's price. That's very manageable in my opinion. And 1m for mwg, so 3m overall for the share price to hold steady, that's not overly optimistic to me.

Stampee I'm not sure what you are trying to say. Mwg Mcap is 16m, with 525m shares, the volume of new shares is 40m, so 525/10, less losses for those that didn't convert. And 40m shares at 28p is about £16m less losses, £11m. There is no £40m of extra shares.

Why so many samples? The error rate must be tiny at that point, significantly below maybe 1 in 10 billion. A sample of 5k should be more than enough. Why are others getting away with much smaller sample sizes, or have they just be risk accepted?

Not at that scale but I'm as invested as I want to be for any individual stock. 100% convinced that this will do well, but I'm managing risk. Something can always go wrong, difficult to say what obviously, simplest example there could be fraud that wipes them out, fire and data loss, key staff leaving or dying, someone else beating them to the punch (not suggesting in the slightest that there is something, but there's always the left field risk that drives risk management).

It's the opinion of the value of the company. So with good news, whilst there may be no actual change in the immediate financials there may well be a change in the opinion of the what the financials will be, that change in opinion will drive the share price change. That's how I think of it.

ITM are well ahead, but are also not a competitor, they are closer to a fuel supplier, or an oil company for an engine manufacturer. With no oil there's no point having an engine.

Reckoner I've no idea what's been brought any more, but I would not put it past the government to side step their own rules. Han**** has apparently just given another 350m to the same company whose tests were contaminated earlier in the year.
