I think that the recent mergers etc from businesses that historically hadn't been stellar are the problem for the share price, there's no proof of performance so the sum of parts equals not a lot, proof of the synergy between these parts are what's needed. I believe that is coming, and when either lots of small incremental sales hit the bottom line and a large % y on y growth is seen, or there is a large contract or two RNSd, then the price will shift. I'm as loaded as I want to be based on my simple (and probably illogical) portfolio balance rules, 8-10% depending on what's happening to the rest of the portfolio.
I like the analogy of a long odds horse riding next year.

The thing is if they have 10-20 bn to invest and they don't want to be taking a big chunk then they need to invest in so many small companies. A 100m investment for them is 0.5-1% of their portfolio, but would be 20% of us. Realistically they could only drop 10-20mn before it distorts ownership at which point they would be spread very thin, and even if we went up by X10 it'd be nothing to them, but they'd still have to do the research, due diligence etc.

Drew, I was at Thompson's nuclear in Wolverhampton on the irradiated fuel dismantling machine, design and build of sections. But the Germans suddenly said they'd take other countries waste and the job, 2 of them was cancelled. It was enough work to keep us busy for a couple of years at least and so we'd been turning away work. Never put all eggs in one basket and if your employer is doing that be ready to move on.

I could see it happening if it was one large project, it happened to me at Rolls Royce on the nuclear side. But we're talking about many smaller orders in the pipeline. Much less likely to have a significant impact.

I was at the Eden project a few days ago, 3x22kw free connections was all I saw (wish I'd topped up there but had already parked. At first I thought that this pointlessly low powered, but most trips to the project will last for 4 hours or more, so actually 22kw is fine, you can grab 88kwh and fill nearly all batteries on the market at the moment, and stops people driving there just to have a quick charge. They just need more of them. I'm in a phev so using one would have been cheeky and may have stopped someone who needed one. They do have at least an 11kV supply to the site so probably a decent amount of power maybe in the MW range so should be able to have several per car park. With h2 generation off peak and with solar and wind they could spread the load.

Muggins, pretty sure about it, assuming that these foundations can be built upon, but that's investing isn't it, finding were value will occur, but has not yet occured. I think there are many elements here that can sell for a profit, I think there's a demand, and they have put in place agreements that help with capacity.

I'd say there has been very good progress, exceptional seems to be round the corner.

Does anyone know of any reasons why 2020 was a challenging year? Something out of the ordinary that happened that effected all countries and slowed a lot of normal business activity down? I'm struggling to come up with something. I'm sure it also gave us an opportunity that we're not in a position to capitalise on. Anyone recall what it was?

I agree it's a buy (hold for me I'm happy with my portfolio weight), but as he's not reading from a script I'm not going to apply meaning to the precise wording that was used, the between the lines inferences are, to my mind, where people get over excited about the immediate potential.

As to whether 155 will be hit, I've no opinion, I'm more interested in 12-24 months away than now.
