Stockbroker on the brink.
A city stockbroker that employs 60 staff is on the verge of collapse.
Administrators are close to being called in at SVS Securities which sent its staff home early Friday.
SVS, which specialises in the AIM market and foreign exchange, made a pre-tax profits of ÂŁ233,600 on sales of ÂŁ40.9m in the year to June 2017, according to its last filed accounts.
The broker, founded in 2003, issued ÂŁ2.5m of retail bonds in 2014 to expand its services. SVS could not be reached for comment.
