The times I’ve been excited about this share.... but will this time be different?

FTSE 100 at the next reshuffle at this rate, going very well, roll on Wednesday update.

Put me the believer camp. PF got excited as me back in June. Confident it’s all sorted, needs to be with 10/12/15 year contract, then we’ll get moving. The only thing I don’t expect is the price rise we used to see on AIM. It’ll be good but I’m ready to wait for the juicy fruit to blossom before I take a meaningful off the table. This will sound strange, but after all these mornings at 7.00am waiting to see a Westminster RNS over the years, I doubt I’ll ever sell our completely. I do enjoy reading all you posters views, bickering and **** taking. Look forward to the board when price has gained 20/30p.

He could get 42,000 WSG shares instead of the pants, but the pants might go up in value :-)

I did email Tom Cooper last week, obviously I stated I didn't expect any new info, but was asking generally how the BOD sentiment was in respect to Ghana, his reply was...
"It would be fair to say however that sentiment in the business is very positive."
Thats the most I could expect. Back to waiting.

I reckon they’re about 3/5ths of the way through the share repurchase.

So far purchased 32,032,682. So if they have enough change left from the $68.2m, they can grab another 22,232,712. With price rising I don’t think they’ll have enough of that money to buy the maximum allowed.
More free cash for future divi’s though. Rough figures only :-)

Agreed, I've instructed my broker also, but I'm not holding my breath. Three phone calls from broker to company registrars and back to broker. Its not like the old days talking to our brokers, sometimes seems like I'm talking another language :-)

Hi, if I understand correctly the W8-BEN form only helps us outside of a tax wrapper. Makes no difference to shares held in an ISA/Sipp, but will reduce withholding tax down to 15% on shares held directly. They have announced divi's to be paid in sterling if you elect to do so. Need to do this before sept 9th to receive the next divi in pence. DGOC RNS 9/8/19.
It took 4 months for my first dividend to be converted from $ to £ !!

The new government is half military and half civilian. Everyone happy for the next 21 months and then elections. If it’s Sudan, I think the central government agreed to the WSG deal but have been waiting until the new government has been appointed, which now it has been. PF hoped for signing last year but ironing out the details as in 5 civilians not 7 has been going on for the last eight months, now sorted. Probably nonsense, but it could also fit too.

The constitutional declaration deal reached on August 4 brought an end to nearly eight months of upheaval that saw masses mobilise against al-Bashir, who was removed in April after 30 years in power.
A small paragraph from the link I posted, eight months of upheaval. The timeline fits with WSG expecting to have the authorities signed at Xmas. Just another stab in the dark I guess, but you never know!

But some of these emerging countries must get excited when a couple of English blokes from’ Westminster’ call touting for work. I often think our name must help open doors.
