Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Are you on the right board? No rises here at the moment.
Bottom_feeder, personally I see a future with fewer contractors in the business as a positive move. If there is an impact on the bottom line then it'll be a positive one. While some contractors are necessary, more often than not they aren't worth the money they're paid.
Where has it been published that the share ratio is being adjusted by a factor of 20? Not sure what you're refering to.
No mention of numbers in the RNS and this is only an initial 12 month contract but any new contract win is positive news. The more the merrier.
The company is looking like being in sooooo much better condition than it was 12 months ago yet the share price is half what it was this time last year.
We're only going to see positive growth from this point.
You can't explain aim and it's all just a big hullaballoo
After a very quiet morning, we have another false spike this afternoon. Up 20% in the last hour or so with no news. Good for the shorts.
I'm not a short term trader, I buy in to companies with long term potential and I've set my exit point on this one at 15p so if we hit that by the end of this year I'll happily join you on your run. I'm past my peak fitness so can we make it a fairly short run?
I can see this very slowly slipping further over the next few weeks until profitability is confirmed but that's not likely to be until April/May so I wouldn't be surprised this drops in to the 0.2s before then. IF it does drop that far again I'll top up then. Confirmation of profitability should see this back up at 1p or more.
100quidpunter there isn't enough salt in the sea for what Pineapple posts ;-)
No more significant moves on this one until an RNS for major contract wins or confirmation of profitability. Hopefully both will come within 3 months. Plenty of time to come on board before this kicks on.
I've been at a loss with this one since I first invested nearly 3 years ago but luckily I've averaged down several times. I've always had confidence there is potential for this to go big. Happy to hold for another couple of years in the hope of still getting a decent return. Very jealous of those that came in at 0.15p and already seeing profits.
This will see plenty more dips before any permanent rise. I might come back in next time we're at 0.3p.
I'm currently sitting on a 75% loss but really tempted to double down to reduce my average and hopefully come back in to profit a bit quicker but with such a big contract win announcement and no real increase this week I'm wondering what this company needs to do to prove itself to the market. I'm confident this will multi bag this year but not confident enough to put even more money where my mouth is.
These boards always amuse me when anything exciting happens. The number of people making predictions on where the share price will be by the end of the day or in the next week. The reality is, no one knows what's going to happen so why bother making a prediction. It's all guess work.
I was expecting the share price to open above Friday's close and it did but I certainly didn't expect such a big drop especially after a positive RNS of a contract win.
AIM is a gamblers market. Do your own research and take your own chances. Never listen to any of the predictions from anyone on these boards.
100QP you'll find there are plenty on here that don't know much about shares either. Unfortunately a lot of them bluff and pretend to know a lot. The number of times I see "definite multi bagger" just before the prices continues to fall is astonishing.
The only thing to know about AIM shares is that no-one can predict the future. Even when a company looks like it has a nice rosey future, prices can fall and investments can be lost. Always do your own research and only invest what you can afford to lose.
Why the sudden spike from 10am today? The RNS came out 2 days ago so it's been very slow to spike if that's what's caused it. Has news broken that will be formalised in an RNS tomorrow with a further spike?
Following recent positive news and the expectation of more to follow in 2020 I've just doubled by holding in Midatech. It's still only a relatively small holding because the future certainly isn't guaranteed but I remain very hopefull.
DYOR.
I think that's the first time I've seen a video from Paul. He certainly comes across a lot more likeable than Simon Cole ever did despite the fact that he's pretty much reading from the same script that Simon left behind when he picked up his P45.
Let's hope the "profitability is just round the corner" line that Simon used every few months is actually true this time.
Consider yourself lucky piccy, I first invested at 7p and now have a 3p average so breaking even is still a long, long, long way off.
I have actually been considering cutting ties on this one at a huge loss and hoping to recover the money elsewhere but I think I might hold out for another year and see if this is FINALLY the year of operating profits which should see at least a two-fold increase in the SP. Fingers crossed.
I'm pretty confident we won't see 12p this year. Possibly on a short term spike but not a long term SP at that kind of value. There are a few posters far more knowledgable than I am that have given the reasons why in previous posts.
