Xchanging extends BAE contract until 2013

Outsourcing specialist Xchanging has announced that BAE Systems Australia has extended its procurement services contract until the end of 2013.The group said it will manage over AUD180m of indirect spend for the defence firm over three years."From an initial core objective focused on cost savings, Xchanging will continue to deliver a holistic business solution that transforms the indirect goods and services supply chain for enhanced value across BAE System's procurement spend in Australia," the statement said."Over the years, we have developed a close working relationship with BAE Systems Australia. We are delighted with this contract extension and look forward to delivering enhanced value through our renewed arrangement," said Xchanging Asia Pacific executive director Kerry Purcell.---bc
